Beyond expectations

The Linny is in a lovely setting at Coffinswell. I frequently visited The Linny Inn when I lived in Torquay. Even now when we take short breaks in Torquay, it is still the place where my wife & I prefer to eat, as the food and service are both excellent. One word of advice........ Book early to avoid disappointment.

Very good food and a beautiful setting!!
Tucked away in the beautiful village of coffinswell, you will not be dissappointed with exceptional food. Simple food, cooked to perfection!!
Def worth a visit!! Lovely 4 Sunday lunch expecially!

Beyond expectations
I was really in 2 minds about reviewing this place....cos if too many people know about it the wait to get a sunday lunch booking will get even longer. There is no question that this place is also a passion for its owners and every time I go I get a genuinley warm perosnal welcome. The decor is just what you want from a village pub and the food is unpretentious and simply delicious. There are 2 restaurent options with differing menus. The bar menue and the Hayloft restaurent. either will not disappoint, The Sunday roast is not a stodgy pile a of food as it is in so many pubs but a cooked to order selection of seasonal vegitables and local meat that is just wonderful... please go and enjoy but dont tell too many people.
