Tucked away in the quaint village of cockington, the drum is the heart of this village and is always buzzing with people.
Great atmosphere come rain or shine and i would recommend it for good quality pub food!!

A pub you must visit

Wow what a location. Approx 15 minutes walk from the beach, you go back in time, into a quaint village with thatched houses, ponds, ducks, beautiful gardens, manor house, lots to see, glass blowing, shire horse drawn carts, beautiful walks etc....
Pub itself, very welcoming. Great outdoor area, with tables overlooking the green. Indoors open fires welcome you in the winter. Lots of different area's to sit and eat. Menu quite standard but food always good value for money. Only criticism is we have had to wait longer than we would like on occasions for food. Kids welcome.

Been coming to this pub for years since I was a kid and have always loved it.... most beautiful surroundings .. stunning in the summer, and cosy with the log fires burning in the winter. The service is great ( Marilyn always has a smile for everyone ) and the food is great value for money.

Limited choice for a veggie

This place is situated a mile from the beach in Torquay but you could be in the middle of sherwood forrest. The Drum is situated on the edge of Cockington country park which means you can walk up a good appetite. The thatched building is charming and welcoming and the open fires are fantastic in winter. There is huge amounts of outside eating and drinking area, but if you are a vegitarian then your choices are limted. The food is genrally good but the Sunday roast can get a bit tired towards the end of the day!
