DO NOT EAT HERE!

26 Jun 08, 09:41 1* Well below expectations

We went to Yates on Tuesday night and there were 2 other people in there. We ordered a Crunchy chicken salad and a bbq chicken melt. The bar maid was nice enough, but they took about 15 minutes to figure out if I could use my voucher or not. Having paid full price, they came out with the food. Crunchy chicken salad? How about Metal chicken salad! It was over cooked and really hard and the salad consisted of a bowl of lettuce and a few wedges of tomatoes. My partner had the BBQ chicken melt which consisted of 2 cremated chicken breasts, so dry! It looked like someone had literally just wiped over a bit of sauce with their finger as there was hardly any on there, and the tiniest bit of cheese! It was served with chips and peas, the peas looked like they had been sat waiting to be served for about an hour, they were all shrivelled up! Its not as if they were rushed off their feet! And when we complained, they did nothing about it, the bar maid simply shrugged it off. DO NOT EAT HERE unless you want indigestion and a lot of irritation!

stylish classy pub

16 Jun 08, 20:35 4* Above expectations

wanting to relax in a nice modern pub? Then run down to Yates. from great music to amazing food and drinks . Comfy chairs and friendly people . Even highchairs for children . Instead of bumping into your grannys best friend in the local pub singing your simply the best. Pop to Yates where the music is fresh and the drinks are cheap .

Top 100

Average but empty

16 Apr 08, 15:15 3* As expected

Nice enough... friendly staff and the food was ok.

very quiet midweek, but didn't seem surprised by the fact that it was empty, it is obviously the norm in October.

Service was prompt and friendly that they took pity on someone eating on their own and slipped me a free Coca Cola... everyone loves a freebie
