Appledore loves books

Above expectations

They love books so much here, they have an annual book festival. When they threatened to close the library there was uproar. I'm glad it is still available. And long may it continue to be

this library was recently ear marked for the chop .. thank goodness local support for the library proved a need for such a servive in theis small village. A radio campaign saw membership rocket at the time of threatened closure. i wonder how many of those new members actually use the library now tho. Its a small library, but well stocked. A valuable asset to a remote town
