great sunday carvery

As expected
if you are looking for a good carvery in the bideford area then I wouold recommend this place. service is quick obviously as you serve youself!!! prices are good, good food and worth taking the kids

Above expectations
I only ever go to this place on a Sunday. They have the most amazing carvery - about 20 different veg and 5 or 6 meats. All you can eat and always packed. You really do need to book in advance. Celebration days are impossible _ Easter, Mothers day etc. Run by a couple of gay guys who really know how to lay on a spread. Highly recommended for the Sunday Roast.

This tiny little pub is a popular one with the locals. The often have quiz and card nights. The carvery on a Sunday is yummy too!

Well below expectations
When I went in there I couldn't see anyone behind the bar, so I stopped and waited, then I carried on waiting, did a bit more waiting as I was getting used to it by this stage, then gave up and left. There were a few other people in there drinking: perhaps they served themselves.
