Beyond expectations
Venture down the narrow and unlikely looking Combe Street and you will find the Town Mill Bakery amongst the twee galleries and knitting shops of Lyme. A light and airy converted studio filled with long wooden tables and an enticing array of artisan breads, cakes and pizzas to sample. You could just grab a loaf and head home, but why not allow yourself the time to hang out and enjoy the relaxed atmosphere with some reading material from shelves groaning with art and cookery books. The set up is simple, pick what you want, call for a coffee or pour yourself some local apple juice and settle in. Nobody is going to ask you to leave any time soon - just remember to pay at the end, or they won't be welcoming you back.
