The original and best

14 May 08, 22:27 5* Beyond expectations

Longleat was the UKs first safari park and its still the best. Its not a zoo, its a wild life park. the animals roam "wild" while you drive through their enclosures. The monkeys ar such fun and climb over your car as you pass through - so make sure everything on your car is secured. I lost a windscreen wiper AND a metal trim from my car roof - lol. Animals include elephants, rinos, giraffes, yak, buffalo, flamingos, butterflies. No matter where u are in the UK plan a trip to Longleat and you will have an amazing time.

A great day out!

We went to Longleat on a day trip from Bournemouth and we had a great time! It's amazing to be able to drive so closely to all the animals. I have to admit we wimped out of going through the monkey enclosure as we watched so many people have their cars pulled to pieces! The lion enclosure was amazing, until they started fighting literally on top of our car bonnet. It would have been a great photo opportunity but to be honest we were too busy hiding!! It wasn't too expensive, although there were only 2 of us - I don't know how much a family ticket would be. Maybe not so much fun on a really hot day as often you're not allowed to have your windows open...

A great day out

Longleat is great and it's well worth going to see the animals that are able to pretty much roam free. they seem a lot more relaxed than at other zoo's i have seen them in. It's actually quite funny to see the big cats paying no attention to the cars as we press our faces against the glass to see them.

Lots to do in fact I think I may have missed quite a few things at the park. You can also walk freely around the grounds I used to walk my dogs in there and they loved it.

Longleat

My family and I went a few weeks ago and this was the best couple of days we have spent. There is so much to see and do that we stayed for a couple of days by purchasing the passport and staying in a hotel nearby. I thought the cost was exceptionally good for the two days. The Safari park was excellent, we loved the monkeys jumping on the cars. But not for those who worship their cars..... the house was interesting and the other activities there were really good. The cafe's can be costly so maybe wise to take a picnic. Weather permitting though.

I loves Longleat

I have been going to longleat since I was a babber, I most recently went on my 19th Birthday and still had a fantastic time at 19 years of age!!! LOVE the monkey enclosure, not for those who are super car proud however! You can keep yourself busy ALLLLL day here there is loads to do and vry rarely do i get round to doing everythin in one trip!!! Be sure to take a picnic as there are lovely picnic areas, entrance is quite pricey (but worth it) so it may help to save a few pennys on food costs by taking a picnic! My favourite kind of summer day out!

A grrrrrr8 day out

14 Oct 07, 16:12 5* Beyond expectations

On a rare day off i ventured to Longleat with a friend. It was a compleate off the cuff day out and we had such fun! I think we were probably the only ones there with out children so you might one to borrow one for the day! The safari park is great fun with loads of animals that youcan actually see up close and personal. Best bit...the monkeys...who love to climb all over the cars (so beware...keep fingers and toes in the car!) To do the park only in £11 for adults.
