Most versatile stadium in the world?

Not only is it a world class sporting venue, but you can hold any type of event there...literally!
Rugby, football, rugby league, rallying, monster trucks. Just a few events that I've seen at the stadium, each seeming at home in possibly the best stadium in the world.
The best in Cardiff

The Millenium Stadium has to be the best place for live music by far. With the big screens and the amount of people it holds the atmosphere is electric! It also has an opening and closing roof so when the weather's bad your dry! Also a great place for rugby matches especially sat near the pitch!

A wonderful venue to watch any live music, simply the best. Accoustics and huge screens mean that even without the best seats available it is still possible to hear and have an excellent view of the artists. Ticket prices reflect on the popularity of the artist. I have always been happy to pay the required price for my tickets. I have seen Rod Stewart and R.E.M., to name just two of the fantastic concerts I have been to. Well worth the money I paid and I had no problem getting the number of tickets I wanted.

MILLENNIUM HERE WE COME

The stadium is a very good facility for live music. It is right in the centre of Cardiff surrounded by pubs, restaurants. What more do you want? Plenty of choices to enjoy a drink before or after the show. It is also easy to get to Cardiff with the public transport especially with the train. Again ideal for a very nice and enjoyable night out with friends and family.

Amazing Stadium

Only went there once for the Arsenal v Liverpool 2002 Community Shield, but was greatly impressed with it. As you get off at Cardiff Central station you need no directions as it is in the shadow of this formidable stadium. Its location is unusual but also its genius - its right in the middle of the town centre, so really easy to get to the main bars. Great facilities, fantastic atmosphere and is absolutely huge! As a Londoner I'll plump for the new Wembley Stadium as the better venue of the two but not by much - this truly is an excellent stadium.

This stadium is right in the middle of Cardiff and has an awesome atmosphere inside.
I've been to see a football game there and a concert - both of which had the roof off and added to the atmosphere.
There are lots of bars around the stadium too.

I've never watched football here but I did see Robbie Williams here (I'm convinced I was sat just behind Mark Owen). Great venue with the added value of it feeling like an indoor arena if the weather's bad by sliding the roof over. I was a little concerned how much the seating moved when people jumped up and down but it's still standing and that's all that matters.

What a jewel this place is. Have seen a couple of big names play here over the last 10 years and its a great concert venue. Not in to sport, but seeing bands play here is amazing , so sport lovers must REALLY appreciate it. AND its so damn easy to find.

One of the best stadiums I've ever been to. Seen Cup finals and charity shields here and there's not a bad seat in the place. Easy to get in and out of, helped by the fact they pedestrianise the nearby streets on match days. Brilliant for football and I'm told they play rugby here too.

I've seen Robbie Williams here and he was fantastic! It's also good for football matches and rugby, especially when Wales are doing well. It's got a sliding roof so you don't need to worry about getting wet if its raining.

Top class sporting venue, in the heart of Cardiff city centre.
Beautiful three-tiered arena, which holds in the atmosphere and was a fine venue for the FA and League Cup finals during Wembley's redevelopment.
Has a unique buzz, especially during the Six Nations championships and Welsh football internationals.

I have to say, this stadium is wonderful and yes the roof does go right across! Have been to both wembley and the millenium and as much as it pains me to say, this one i think pips it, the cost is a big factor in that! Great atmosphere when close to the pitch! Sorry wembley

The Millennium Stadium will be 10 years old next year and without the exception of Wembley is one of the finest stadiums in the UK. With the roof open or closed, the atmosphere when your team is playing is to use an overused adjective, electric. Great for gigs too.

Better than Wembley

I went to Wembley on Sunday to see Cardiff City... and frankly.. not that impressed. The roof doesn't work, it's £6.10 for a pie!! £6!! and it's freezing inside plus it takes an ice age to get to the stadium through an industrial estate! Rubbish. In comparison the Millennium Stadium is much more welcoming, friendly and designed with the consumer in mind - plus it cost about £500m pounds less. Clearly the best stadium in the Uk!

This may sound like a strange thing to write a review of but I feel that it warrants a mention as it's our National Stadium!! Not only is it fantastic to go to sporting events at The Millennium Stadium (I have been to see both football and rugby there and have always loved the atmosphere) but its a fantastic place for concerts (I went to see both Take That and the Manic Street Preachers and sat in very different areas and had a fantastic time at both concerts). Also, whether you are a local or a visitor in Cardiff, its well worth taking a Stadium tour, especially as it's priced at a very reasonable £5.50 for adults and £3 for children.
