Beyond expectations
There are very few places these days where you can go with kids for a whole day and do it for free! The Museum of Welsh Life at St Fagans is a great day out for all the family. The grounds of St Fagans are now home to many traditional buildings that have been salvaged from across Wales. Chapels, farmhouses, cottages have been rebuilt for everyone to look around and get a feel for how people lived years ago. There is also an old train and a row of shops including a grocer shop where you can buy some nostalgic sweet treats. The grounds and gardens are extensive and perfect for letting the kids run and play and there is also a great enclosed playground. There are no shortages of outdoor picnic tables to enjoy your packed lunch and you can also enjoy a horse and cart ride. This is a really great day out combining a slice of welsh history with the outdoors! Fantastic!
