Go there to celebrate or go for dinner Big Wok is the place to eat. There is normally a queue outside which means its very popular with the public but the queues go down VERY fast ! Inside you are escorted to your seat where you order your drinks and have them brought to you while you help yourself to as much food as you like for only 5 pounds!! After you have eaten from each plate staff kindly take it away from you as you go up to eat some more ! You can also request an announcement to really get the celebration going. From a range of foods it is always fresh and staff are very welcoming and well mannored.

Big Wok

If you're looking for some chinese food thats cheap and cheerfull (not to mention great tasting!), then Big Wok is your place. Situated in Birmingham city centre, 5 mins walk away from the Bullring and Birmingham New Street station, Big Wok is a Chinese Buffet, Tepanyaki and Sushi Bar. What's great about Big Wok is the amount of food you have to choose from. The Lunchtime buffet (12 - 5pm), which is an amazing £4.99 (bargain!)consists of a choice of over 60 dishes including soups (hot and sour soup is tasty!), starters (spicy chicken wings are a must!), rice and noodles, noodle bar and main courses (chicken in black bean sauce is a favourite!). There is also vegetarian options for all you vegetarians out there! Last but not least, there is the dessert, of which you can choose from gateux, ice cream, fruit salad etc. The Evening buffet (5 - 11:30pm), priced at £9.99 gives you a choice of over 80 dishes.

Big Wok

I'd heard about this place for ages, but never been brave enough to join the massive queues outside on a Saturday lunchtime. But we decided to give it a go. The queue moved very fast and we were soon inside and sat at our table. You give your drink order first and then they give you the drill. Basically you go get a plate and fill it up as much and as often as you want. The range of food is brilliant... and it's all hot and didn't taste as if it'd been sat there for ages. There's no shame in how many times you can go up - I got worried on my 4th visit, but nobody noticed so I had a 5th visit as well. My to kids loved it as they could choose what they want and leave what they didn't. Once you've gorged on all the oriental goodies it's time for dessert, cheesecake, ice creame, fruit salad - oh the ice cream comes from one of those machines used on ice cream vans and you get to control it yourself, which was great fun.

Big Wok Birmingham

If you want Chinese food quickly and with a large selection then this is a great place to go. Unfortunately by being right in the heart of Birmingham's Chinese Quarter there are plenty of choices of food that may prove a better choice for a meal in the city.

Chinese restuarant

I ocassionally go there during my lunch break off work. Its has a great selection of dishes if you are interested in the buffet and they always try to keep the food warm. On the upside, the meals are quite cheap compared to other chinese restaurants. However this is only before 5pm. The prices go up after that time. On the other hand, it gets quite busy easily especially during peak hours so you might que up for a table for about 10 minutes.
