The Glee Club is well known for its stand-up comedy, but did you know that you can catch some great live music there too? The club holds regular music nights in its intimate upstairs studio which provides the perfect setting to get up close and personal with the fantastic acts which perform. Acts who have performed recently or are due to perform include Duffy, Cerys Matthews and Jack Savoretti.

This is a great venue. I don't know why but I always end up on the front row here and yet I am still going to recommend the place. To avoid my misfortune book or go early! But if you don't, don't worry it's not that bad. I was sitting next to an eighteen stone ginger guy so I was definately of little or no interest by comparison. My advice if you get lumbered on the front row is to make sure you have some freaky looking friends who can distract the searching eyes of the satnd up comic. Here you can have food and massive pitchers of export. I had plenty of both and to top it off all the comics were funny. I am yet to see anyone die on stage at this venue. Even the people that aren't that funny...are. The only thing that's not funny is the horendous bill you can rack up at the end of the night. But you can always laugh about that afterwards
Great venue!

The Glee Club is famous for it's comedy nights however I've only been here for gigs (and once a burlesque night!) and it has been brilliant every time!
It really makes a change from standing in a sweaty pub / club. When the gig is seated there's less chatting and more attention on the act and as it's quite a small room it's really intimate.
One of the best nights out in Brum!

Love it! A proper comedy club.
It's really small so you're right by the stage and theres loads of interaction with the audience.
If you go you'll be there for the whole night, which is no bad thing thanks to the pitchers you can buy at the bar.
You get the occassional fool who thinks he's funny when he's not, but theres such a variety on the bill, that you'll never be stuck with a dud for too long.
It's a great place to go in small groups, or couples.

The comedian's were very funny, as you'd hope and the beer got me drunk... as you'd hope. It was a great night and really didn't cost much at all. I would definitely go again and next time I'm going to heckle if i don't like an act... I didn't need to this time though as they were all grrrreat!!

The Glee Club is a great venue for seeing the best comics around. It's very cosy inside, well you seem to sit very close to the person next to you and it's a bit of a squeeze at the bar, but it just adds to the fun. I have seen some great acts here and they serve food as well. Don't think it's a place for students, anyone who enjoys a laugh will feel at home here.

The Glee Club in the Arcadian is quite a small, intimate venue but with the calibre of Nationally known comedians it's a jewel in the crown for Birmingham. You will probably have to book early to avoid disappointment and get a good seat though. The bar area is quite small when it comes to getting your drinks during a break in performance but if you want to see some of today's best comedians locally then this is a place you need to come.

A great venue for watching live comedy acts, I have seen some brilliant comedians here and have enjoyed pretty much all my visits. One of the best things about this place is that on a weekend night, once the show is over, your ticket entitles you to stay for the disco after it's finished, meaning you can dance off a bit of the lager you've invariably consumed far too much of during the performance, and you don't need to worry about going anywhere for it. It's a brilliant idea and means everyone is really relaxed and up for a good time- which is fab when you consider how lairy some people seem to be once they're on a dancefloor. My only real issue with the place is if it's a gig in the smaller room- you are virtually seated on top of each other and the air conditioning either seems to be on ice cold or red hot- not ideal. However, I'd highly recommend The Glee Club as a great opportunity to get some laughs in and have a dance, all at the relatively reasonabl price of a show ticket (aorund £12).
