Better than Harvey Nics

I think this Selfridges is better than Harvey Nics. The ladies fashions are much better laid out and you dont get so lost on each floor, they also carry the cheaper and more funky modern high street stuff. The shoe section in here is also really good, especially for mens Prada shoes, they will take orders over the phone and post them out to you for a tenner.

Fabulous shopping for fabulous people. Expensive but only because its brimmed full of designer names and labels. I love it! Everything your shopping heart could desire all in one place with loads of great concessions. I just have to retain myself from blowing all my wages in one go!
I'm want to live in Selfridges!!!

I'm in total un-conditional love with the amazing place know as selfridges! If topshop isn't doing it for you then slip next door to Coast or why not pop round the corner to All Saints! It has so much choice and is a one stop shop on a ultimate shopping trip! If i had a unlimited credit card and the choice of where to run riot, this would be the place!! Unfortunately, i only occasionally visit top level which is the home of your gucci, prada, jimmy choo etc other wise i'll become skint very fast!
Yum!

No trip to the Bullring is complete without a wander round Selfridges, even if you're not buying, (I usually am!) The foodhall is superb - loads of tempting tasties to take home. Cafe is good for people watching - great fun watching kids with sticky fingers & chocolate smeared faces hugging massive white teddy bears... hilarious. Boys love the gadget section. Girls love all the fashions - all the names you want & never come away without damaging the credit card!

If only I were rich enough I'd spend my life in this place. Sadly, as I'm poor, I only go to look at the amazing stuff they have in this shop. All the food is amazing in each of their restaurants and you know if you buy something from there it's of the highest quality. Please let me win the lottery then i can go to Selfridges every day... just remember... don't confuse this with Miss Selfridge... that not a good shop for me at all

I've been to this Selfridges a couple of times on trips to Birmingham, and must confess I've found it great to just wander round and look at the bizarre things that lots of money can buy you nowadays! I once went on a bank holiday weekend which I now realise wasn't a great idea because there were more people than products in the shop, but even so the place just gave off that 'wow factor'. Despite my being impressed for the design and feel of the place, I didn't actually buy anything... Which is kinda a drawback for a shop... I looked at the prices for some things and just felt like I was paying for being in Selfridges rather than the product itself...
Overall, fantastic experience, and probably great for shopping, if you are VERY loaded.

Selfridges has a name for being one of London's most luxurious and extensive department stores, and that translates brilliantly to their store at Bullring in Brum.
It's a great place to start a shopping trip to Bullring, because you can wander around the luxury designer clothes consessions to get ideas, then go and buy cheaper (and identical) versions in the other shops in the center.
The gadget and electronics is brilliant, and if you look carefully enough you'll find yourself in the TopShop/TopMan consession which sells different things to their main Bullring store.
It's also essential to visit the foodcourt on the lower floor where there's all manner of foody delights, lots of free tasters to get your mouth round, and restaurants galore. The supermarket section sells rare and unusual food from around the world, and their section of American goodies is brilliant, especially if, like me, you've been to the states and are missing your fix of Smuckers jam in the morning!
Better for window shopping due to the prices, but a feast for the senses nonetheless, Selfridges is well worth stopping by for an hour or two!
Pure luxury

I love Selfridges!! It has been the making of Birmingham. It has given us a landmark and a great place to shop. It’s as unique inside as it is out, a complete opposite to the traditional London store it feels like a space ship inside. It has a pricey reputation but it actually has things to suit most budgets, from familiar high street brands to top designers. They have brands you won’t find anywhere else in the city and are constantly changing and updating. The food hall is very exciting a great variety of food to either eat in or takeaway.

Whenever I want to show a visiting friend something really great about birmingham I always take them to Selfridges in the Bullring.
The ground floor food hall and shop really has to be seen to be believed and offers everything from a champagne bar to Sushi and even a Crispy Creme cafe. Amazing. The sights, sounds and smells are wonderful.
Also downstairs you will find a huge range of imported food products so if Hersheys chocolate is your idea of a treat, this is the place to find it.

If you only have your lunch hour to find the perfect outfit for your night out I reccomend House of Fraser.
Quicker than walking the entire Bullring, House of Fraser has a good range of concessions within a matter of metres. These include Oasis, Mango and Warehouse. And if your budget with stretch, Miss Sixty and Diesel.

A fantastic shopping experience with an amazing food hall on the lower level with foods from around the world. The clothing is pricey but there a lot of top names. There is a great electrical section for all the gadget freaks too. There's a sushi bar, Krispy Kremes donuts and just about everything else you could imagine for fashion, jewellery and perfumes. No wonder people come from miles around to come here.

As expected
This is the best place to shop in Birmingham. It has every single thing you could ever want under one roof. From food, to handbags, to jewellery they have it all. It's the kind of place you would love to visit when your pay check come through. The have concessions of different designer stores from which you can buy the latest designer gear. For ladies, there is a handbag heaven at the ver top floor. Having said that, selfridges is relatively alot more expensive that your conventional high street shop, its just the kind of place you go to if you feel like splashing out.
