A True Meal Experinence

16 Jun 08, 15:22 5* Beyond expectations

Me and my family went to shimla pinks on saturday night for my mom's birthday. It was fantastic, the food was amazing we had a banquet in which everything on that menu is served and a great way to try new dishes. The service was tremendous and would definatley visit there again. If you want a resturant with not only great food but a great experience i recommend shimla pinks highly.

As Meg Ryan says in When Harry Met Sally.... YES, YES, YES.... OH GOD....YEEEEEESSSSSSSSSSS. The food is delicious thanks to a combination of top quality ingredients and amazing preparation. I would especially recommend the tandori salmon as it's quite an experience.

Average night out....

For a quality Indian meal do give it a try. They have a huge function room at the back and parking behind the building (most people aren't aware of this). The menu is extensive and delicious, the staff very helpful and informative... a good job since there's so much to choose from.

Great food!

Quite honestly one of the best curry's I have eaten.

The dish I ordered was full of flavour with a great taste. Not just 'Hot' like many I have eaten elsewhere.

It is much more expensive than other curry options in the city but great for special occasions.

Give it a go, I don't think you will be dissapointed!

A curry experience

22 Apr 08, 14:19 5* Beyond expectations

This is expensive for curry but you are paying for the experience. It's a massive place with a real buzz about it. The decor is really modern and quite unique, not like any other curry house I've been to before. There is real attention to detail right down to the cutlery and tablewear. Ladypool road is grubby this is glamour.

Shimla Pinks

13 Nov 07, 13:58 1* Well below expectations

Not entirely sure why this place is still open to be honest, as it charges obscene prices for its sub-standard food and the service is atrocious. Went here a couple of weeks ago on the recommendation of a friend and really wished I hadn't. It's a very basic curry restaurant which I suspect used to be a great one, but its presence on Broad St has been brought down by the scallies that now seem to populate the place, and as a result, Shimla Pinks is really just another shabby curry restaurant in need of a facelift. It's not the worst place in the world- the food was okay, but the service was rubbish and the decor is out of date and makes you feel like you're on the set of a 1980s comedy. I wouldn't recommend this place- I'm not convinced it's the right way to go if you're in Birmingham and you want a curry. Head to the Ladypool Rd in Sparkbrook instead and see how a curry should really be made.
