Above expectations
I went here for my first ever gig and it was amazing. The security there was excellent and helped alot of people who fainted because of the heat. The band was amazing aswell as the lights. Overall, it was a great experience even if my feet were killing after!

What a great venue! the music is fantastic, drinks are cheap and its a great atmosphere! the staff are friendly, i just love it there! always a great night.

Beyond expectations
The Academy is the coolest live music venue in Brum, it has all the latest album launches, and shows new local up and coming talent which keeps the dream alive for us brummies. The staff are always bright and cheery at the venue and Drinks are extremely cheap. Great atmosphere, great music, great night!

Music I wanted to hear. Bands I wanted to get close to. Carling Academy is this place! I have danced with Scissor Sisters and Saved A Life with the Fray. This is THE BEST live music place to be!!

the best place for live music is the carling academy its a cut above any other live venue i have been to,the staff are pleasant, the atmosphere utterly amazing and wherever you step foot you can hear the bands clearly and also see, which makes your time there all the better.
