Great Modern Theatre Experience

Beyond expectations
The recent refurbishment of Birmingham Hippodrome has done it the world of good. It's a large, open theatre, with a huge entrance. The seats are easily comfortable enough to get you through the longest of performances, and they do attract some big names.
I was fortunate enough to see French and Saunders recently, and the hospitality, service and all round experience was brilliant, even before I got into the show.
Don't think twice about booking a show here, it's well worth it, and the refurbishment has also introduced ramps and lifts and the like should you need them.
Dance Xchange

On Thorpe Street is the entrance to the Dance Xchange which is still part of the Hippodrome. All sorts of dance classes are taught here and they're not just for kids... they do adult ballet classes for beginners to advanced as well as salsa, street, and loads more. Classes are held throughout the week as well as the weekends, and there are loads which are open to absolute beginners, so if you fancy having a go, just do it! I thought it would be a bit intimidating, but everyone's in the same boat and it's just fun having a go.

Most comfy seats in the house

Now people may have worried alot when the old Hippodrome was knocked down to make way for the all new swanky theatre - but they'd have been better off putting that energy into something else.
The place is amazing... It's clearly set out, clean, tidy and bright and funky. All levels are very accessible and you can see straight away where you need to go to get to your seats.
Now, once in those seats you WON'T want to move as they're so so comfy. No lazy arse half way through the performance. You can sit back and enjoy.
There's also plenty of choccie and ice cream stands too. Plus, the staff are so so so so polite and lovely.

After being refurbished this theatre is hard to beat here or in the West End. Great theatre productions from Cats to Swan Lake to French and Saunders. Great restaurant for pre show meals.

What a great Theatre to go too. It always seems to have the best productions on with most of them casting famous people in them too. I remember going to see Blood Brothers here and it was fantastic. The hippodrome is a very nice modern building. The staff are all nice and friendly and adds to the superb time you will recieve from going to somewhere like this.
