Up the Junction

13 Aug 08, 23:52 5* Beyond expectations

Good atmosphere, friendly staff, great food and good selection of drinks. The location is perfect and only a cab ride away for me :-)

A little pricey, but worth it for the ambience. One of my faves

First Class for the average Joe

09 Aug 08, 12:59 5* Beyond expectations

First impressions blew me away, amazing selection of beer, comfy leather boothes, open fire place. And then normally you wait for the pretention to kickin, but it didn't, there was none... Management do an excellent Job to keep the undesirables out and the atmosphere relaxed.

And then the Beer...

Franciskaner Weis Beer I do love thee... And standby to try Coopers Pale Ale....

A++

Nice!

The Junction in Harborne, used to be O'Neil's, has been re-fitted at some point in the last year and is fantastic! Great food, great service and brilliant real ale. not to pricey and well worth a visit. Not many places to park,. but get a cab / walk and enjoy some ale!

Ale and pure class!

29 Apr 08, 17:16 4* Above expectations

This pub used to be an O'Neils until recently - but it's since been completely renovated and gone well up-market.

Polished wooden floors, sofas and an open fire make this a classy pub without it being pretentious. It attracts a young crowd and has a lively atmosphere at the weekends.

If you like your real ale this place is a winner. Four ales on tap served in handled pint glasses! Ales are seasonal so you'll get some great light summer beers or winter warmers. Plus if you're into you Belgian beers - especially fruit beers - you'll be well happy.

Food is also great though not cheap - Harborne prices apply! Sunday roast is a favourite and you can see the chefs working their magic in the kitchen.

Enjoy!
