Doesn't look much on the outside but interior is lovely, bright and airy but up-to-date and modern. Seating is spacious enough and they also have a large beer garden with benches. Food is lovely and very reasonably priced, although I did order chilli con carne and it came out with cheese on top (which wasn't stated on the menu) so it had to be sent back and re-done, as I can't stand that smelly stuff!! Service was good though as their second attempt arrived swiftly and it was delicious.

Fish and Chips!!

This place is great. They have fish and chips, chip shop style.

The interior is very nice and cosy with plenty of space outside in the garden. The menu has plenty of options on it and there is a wide variety of beer and drinks available.

The price is just right and parking is no problem. The curry sauce is the star of the show but the mushy peas are a very close second. The batter is to die for.

Lunch times are busy but the weekends get the real crowds.

They've got lots more on the menu, but since as my missus won't allow a deep fat fryer in our house, I like to grab the opportunity for good ole F&C when I can. They also serve mushy peas and curry sauce. And great real ale. It's also really nice inside with a garden at the back. Waht more can I say? Lovely batter?

The BEST fish and chips and curry sauce ever in a pub! And really good value too. It you don't want fish and chips their fish cakes are fantastic - you still need to have the curry sauce though its gorgeous and you get a big jugful - great! The only thing is they could do with staying open a bit longer at lunchtimes

This place has THE BEST FISH ever. We have to go at least once a week for their lunchtime special mini fish, chips, peas and curry sauce @ £3.95 its an absolute bargain. The only thing they need to make it extra special is a couple of rounds of Bread and Butter (my mom would kill me for saying that!).......i am Northern!
