The Elbow Room

Like no other, this is a very clever combination of trendy, funky cocktail bar and pool hall based on the Elbow Room in London. Very cool hangout for some of the nicest people in Leeds and a great place to pose while you pot some balls. They also have some brilliant DJs playing down there so you can have a great night and they used to do a night where you bring your iPod and you can take a turn to play your own tunes for a bit. Cool idea, very cool place.

This funky, up market pool hall is a breath of fresh air compared with the myriad of dingy, smoky pool rooms that seem to populate the UK. It falls into the category of the new style pool halls that have a functional pool area, along with a classy but retro atmosphere and decor, and a place where people like to go just for a beer including members of the female variety, a relatively new concept admittedly! With heaps of full size pool tables, table tennis, great food, plenty of TVs for sport and great DJs and acts on Saturday nights, it's a place I like to frequent for a relaxing game of pool with a few friends without scaring off your female friends. Well worth a punt.
