A & M Dancing, CM7

Family Run Dance School 4*

Scott D. says:

If your son or daughter is interested in joining a dance school look no further than A & M Dancing! A & M Dancing is a wonderful family run school led by Mrs Jacqui Dugdale and her Father Alf Holmes. Whilst this review is under the category of Ballet schools readers need to be aware that the school also teaches IDTA Ballroom, Latin, Classical Sequence, Modern Sequence, Rock'n'Roll, Tap and Theatre Craft. Every two years the school presents a show which demonstrates the hard work that the dancers put into their lessons and of course the dedication of their teachers! My daughter started with A & M when she was 3 years old and now at the age of 8 she is into Ballet, tap and ballroom, and doing well. She has been in 3 shows now and we have absolutely loved every one of them. Jacqui and Alf have a fantastic rapport with children of all ages - Alf is even knicknamed 'Grandad' to the younger ones! One should also note that adults can join A & M for various different dance lessons!

Hummus Bros, W1F

healthy quick eats 2*

I love hummus, and have even attempted to make my own but this place makes the best. The thing I don't like about it is that it could be so much more. The place is small, the selection not varied enough and the food over priced. It’s worth it for a one off lunch or something but I came out full but unsatisfied. Maybe you'll be different. They do do a loyalty card, which is good, but after my 3rd bowl, I felt so fed up with it that I threw it away.

Bar Kick, E1

Cosy place, yummy food 5*

Lizzie G. says:

This bar is separated into 3 sections. At the front you can play table football or pool, in the middle you can sit at tables or on sofas and sip well made cocktails or at the back, near the kitchen and taste their yummy home cooked food. The menu changes regularly and the staff are always happy to explain what things are. There are veggie alternatives but not that many. Meatys will love their selection of cured meats. This is a lovely place for a first date as it is always busy, and if you run out of conversation you can always play a game. One thing that people may not like is the fact that all the tables are crammed in quite tightly, I think that it adds to the atmosphere but it's not to everyone’s taste.

Chav Tastic 3*

I wouldn't say this kind of venue is my normal type of hang out so please keep that in mind while reading this review. I went here for a close friend’s birthday and did have an amazing night out but the queues at the bar were long and the men a little creepy. The music is a mix across the venue as there seems to be room leading on to room and on may occasions I got lost. It's good with friends but if you are a group of girls don't go on your own, well not unless you like being chased around the bar by middle weight lushs.

ASK, RG1

Yummy with Mummy 4*

Lizzie G. says:

My parent live near here and when we go for a 'moochy poochy around the shoppy whoppys' (my Mum's terminology!) we almost always grab a bite to eat here for lunch if we are feeling like spoiling ourselves. Yes it is 'just' an ASK but it the service is quick, you are sat far enough apart from your fellow diners, not to have their elbows in your waist and it looks quite pretty as well. This is a nice place to have lunch or dinner, I'm always cold when I go there but normal people will probably be fine. There salads are epic if you haven't been to an ASK before I would recommend these, that and the garlic bread.
