Cowley Club 5*

Gareth B. says:

The Cowley Club's one of the most dedicated & unique community organisations I know of.

It provides a much needed, valuable base for socially aware & ethically motivated groups, whether they're concerned with veganism or the environment.

There's some fantastic people down there who work as volunteers, awesome board games, and probably the cheapest/ tastiest lunch in Brighton!

Sandinista Cantina Bar, LS2

THIS BAR IS GOOD 5*

Gareth B. says:

My favourite bar by a long, long way while I was a student in Leeds.

It's close enough to the city centre to move on to somewhere else later on, but to be honest, I've happily sat in there all night plenty of times.

One of the few GENUINELY chilled out places to get a drink in Leeds during the week, and busy at the weekend, without the irritating promotions & atmosphere you get at pretty much every 'student' night.

A great menu of drinks, ranging from rare imported beers, to freshly made mojitos. Quite expensive, but worth it!

PLUS, board games!

On Time - Decent Service 4*

Tim P. says:

Gemini Taxis are always on time and are very reliable.

They don't seem to need too much notice for bookings and the rates are pretty cheap for getting in and out of Exeter.

Drivers also nice and friendly - I once got a 7 seater just for me!!

The Magic Wok, EX4

Decent Takeaway 4*

Tim P. says:

Nice convenient location just off Exeter High Street.

Lovely sweet and sour chicken (Hong Kong style of course).

Friendly service - although they did forget to put my can of coke in the bag once!!

Prices very reasonable.

Dance Classes 5*

Rob B. says:

When one of my daughters took an interest in learning dance I looked around the area for beginners classes for her. I found the staff at The Music Mill to be really helpful in giving advice and the teacher really encouraged my daughter.

My daughter has been going to Ballet Classes for just under a year now and she has taken to it like a Swan to a Lake.

I'd really recommend checking out The Music Mill, not only do they do dance classes, they also do singing classes, recording and lots more which could keep all the kinds entertained.
