Four Seasons Fish and Chips, SN5

Four Seasons Chish and Fips! 3*

Holly C. says:

For surrounding villages who want fast food not far away from home this will do!

It's reasonably priced and the food is satisfactory, just about what you'd expect really!

The service is good and there hasn't ever been a long wait when I've been there.

60's Karaoke disco 4*

Gillian L. says:

I went to a 60's nite karaoke at The Royal Oak in Old Town Swindon intending to stay for an hour & stayed till midnite! It was very nostalgic and everyone joined in with the fun. It would be great to see more people in 60's gear. They are holding the 60's nites every Wednesday evening. I'll defiinitely be going again, love to see you there

Great view, great food. 5*

Simon G. says:

The first thing to say about the Lewinnick Lodge is that you will not get a more beautiful view than the dramatic North Cornwall coast to overlook as you eat. It's beautiful.

The bar is well stocked and friendly enough. There's always some kids on the pool table though.

The food is exquisite. I had a cheese and onion filled bread (like a posh cheese toastie), followed by Swordfish with crab salad which was perfect. It's the first time I've had swordfish and it was delicious. My partner had the hake which was also done to perfection.

We rounded off with an Eton Mess to share which, again, was perfect.

Nothing was too much trouble for the staff, despite the fact the restaurant was busy with families they always found time to accomodate us.

As close to perfect as a meal can be.

Once were king.... 1*

Simon G. says:

Once the biggest nightclub in Hull.

Once the place where East Yorkshire lost it's virginity and got beaten up for the first time.

Once the introduction to cocktails and dancing like a lunatic.

Closed now. Nothing to see here!

What's all this shouting? We'll have no trouble here.... 3*

Simon G. says:

When you think of a typical country pub, the picture you have is the Catherine Wheel.

It has it all. Burning oak fire, nutty local real ales, a barman who has been there for over 20 years, South Africans shouting racist abuse, the lot!

Go through to the restaurant and experience the very best food you will ever eat in a pub.

I can heartily recommend the African Curry Pots. They take a bloomer loaf and scoop it out. Into the bread they stick the tastiest curry you've ever had and voila! If you can eat this you need not eat for another couple of days. Brilliant!

The pizzas are splendid too.

My advice : avoid the bar and tuck in!
