Get Stuffed, N1

isn't it great though? 5*

i mean, isn't it great though, that there are still taxidermists making a good living? i have only stepped into this place once - and it wasnt with a recently departed pet under my arm in a black bag, so i can't comment on their stuffing skilss - but man! it makes me happy as larry to know that these creepy, gothic aladdin's cave type places are still around. wouldn't life be boring if it were all high street bland. viva tim burton and down with sex and the city! hurrah!

Penarth Leisure Centre, CF64

getting a bit old...but still has its perks 4*

Lauren J. says:

This leisure centre was excellent when it first opened and is a little in need of a referb with cheap coloured plastic everywhere. The pool is 25m so better than the average private gym, and usually has swimming lanes within.

In its favour though it has a huge hall used for classes and is the best place to do Circuit training due to this as you are not constantly colliding into people, and if you are a little unfit you don't feel like you are in the spotlight.

The Gym has been refurbished and can be used on a pay per use basis, with plenty of new machines. With the new Cardiff International Pool Complex that has opened just around the corner this is pretty quiet now.

Over priced and for posers 1*

Lauren J. says:

For the monthly membership subscription this gym should be amazing. I was disappointed with the classes, the size of the gym in comparison to the number of members makes it really frustrating to go after work as you end up queuing for key machines.

The clientele aren't really up my street, lady's who lunch by day, and women in lycra and men lifting free weights by evening.

Sorry, just not impressed.

Friendly and entertaining 3*

Rhiannon M. says:

Standard pub, not the student type or winebar, good for a quick one, on your way into or out of town. The customers are slightly older than your average and make for great entertainment when it's Karaoke night.

Good buns 4*

Rhiannon M. says:

Reputed to be the oldest standing house in Bath, Sally Lunns serve good buns. Whether its a quick cream tea, or a full meal served on top of a large bread roll (sounds odd, tastes good), Sallys is a great touristy treat. Lunchtime and early evening offers are a bargain - making it a great place to take visiting relatives, not really a gastronomique delight or a fancy night out with a loved one though!
