Try this place 
We stumbled on this place by accident and spent the afternoon trying out the beer and the food for which it is pretty famous. Known as "The Pizza Pub" there's a large choice to choose from including some unusual varieties. I would recommend you try the "Quakers" which is like crispy aromatic duck on a pizza. mmmmm! Staff are great too.

Very popular place 
This Italian restaurant is situated on the seafront and has proved very popular in the town. The menu has all the usual things you'd expect to find and the standard of food is excellent. If you're planning on a night out with a large group of friends, definately worth booking in advance.

Nice final touches
You know what it's like, it's the girlfriend's birthday and you've forgotten to sort out a present. I called in here to try and find a solution - they were really friendly and helpful and made a great bouquet up which looked ten times better than anything you'd buy in a supermarket. Great for winning browny points!

American Diner
I've been here a couple of times and have enjoyed it both times. The decor is quite trendy and the menu has an American feel to it. The service was prompt and friendly, and even though it's been a weekend lunchtime, the place hasn't been too crowded. Worth trying out.

Good feel
I know it's part of a chain but it's always reassuring to walk into an "italian bar / restaurant" and actually be served by Italian staff rather than some bloke whose never even been to Italy! Nice relaxed atmosphere and friendly staff. Food and drinks all good too.

Good night out 
Well positioned next to the cinema and bowling alley, this is the usual TGI mix of food, beer, cocktails and groups of friends and families. I'm not sure what they give the staff, but they all seem hyperactive! Always guaranteed a fun night out, although maybe not ideal if you're a vegetarian.

Cool place to meet up
This is quite a new place and has been given a major overhaul from what it was before. Its got quite a trendy, contemporary feel and seems to be fast becoming a very popular place to meet up. Food tastes lovely although it has, on occasions, taken quite a long time to come out. Worth checking out though.

Fun place
Always a good atmosphere in the bar/restaurant. The staff are good fun and having eaten here a few times can tell you the food tastes good and reasonably priced. Good cocktail menu too.

Wicked place
I don't think I've ever seen this restaurant quiet and I understand why. This is a really good restaurant reasonably priced. I don't ever think I've seen so many options on how I have my fish cooked. I'm pretty sure they also do takeaway as well if you're in a rush

Great cocktails
I've been to this place loads. The food is always great and whilst it's not that big, there's alwasy been a really good buzz about it. The staff are really helpful and up for a laugh. If you're with a group of mates, might be worth exploring the cocktail menu too, although don't blame me for the results! Booking is essential as this is a popular place.
