Ok Pub in Bad Location 2*

There isn't anything particulary wrong with this pub apart from one thing and thats its location. Slap bang in the middle where charing cross roads hits oxford street. This just leads to it being difficult just to get in to the pub! The pub itself is ok but there isnt much there and it isnt big enough for the numbers it attracts. I've been here several times before moving on to another pub and I would suggest you do the same.

Review of The Borderline

Friday Nights Alright 3*

This is a rather small subterranean club located off Tottenham court road and specializing in indie music. There is a split level dance floor, the higher part being used as the stage for live acts. There are a great range of smaller up and coming bands who play there regularly and it has in the past been host to such well known names as oasis, blur and the libertines. The Friday Indie night , The Queen is Dead - is one of the best on the London Indie scene with great indie /pop/rock tunes all night. On the downside however the bar is fairly small and prices are far from cheap compared to it's competition!

Review of The Green

One visit, but an acceptable location 3*

There's something quite comfortable and incredibly surreal about walking into a pub and seeing a couple huddled up on a leather chair infront of a fire. The Green is filled with nice little moments like this. A quality looking restaurant in the back (with some magnificant, albeit expensive, food), some decent lagers (although like everywhere else I visited in the area, no decent ales) and a magnificant location opposite the tube. The Green has a lot to offer. It might be pretentious, but so many places are nowadays, and with a feeling of relaxation and comfort, I'll definately be returning for another visit.

Trendy Bar for Wood Green 4*

This is a place for the trendy people and students of wood green. So it has a lively atmosphere especially on the weekend. It also has a food menu which mostly serves pizza as they have an oven at the back of the pub. The food is really nice and the drinks are reasonably priced. It also has the advantage of being across the road from Alexandra Palace Train Station so if you do go into the city you dont have to go far to do it.

Jazz and Curry Combination 4*

This is a rather interesting place. A curry house that plays Jazz music. It was a strange feeling eating my chicken madras whilst listening to Frank Sinatra, but actually It was a good feeling. The curry was pretty nice too and not too expensive. The service was good as well but it was very cramped inside the place and maybe a little too dark as well as I could barely see what I was eating. I recommend you go just for the experience of hearing jazz music whilst eating a curry!
