Likeable Cafe with Celebrity Customers
This a likeable neighbourhood cafe offering a selection of coffees, teas and other hot drinks as well as a selection of light meals including sandwiches, soups and omelette's. There is also a decent selection of reasonably priced wines. The staff are friendly and the place has a rustic continental feel. An enjoyable place to enjoy brunch or a light lunch. It even has the odd celebrity customer too!

Review of Shakespeares Globe Theatre
11 May 07, 16:09
Pretentious, but still one great day out.
There's something truely mindblowing about visiting the Globe Theatre. Built on the bank of the Thames, next to Tate Modern, the Globe has staged both Shakespearean and modern plays for many years now. A fascinating venue, it never fails to disappoint. Yet, for all it's glory, the one amusing aspect of it is it's lack of real solid realism. The original Globe, a place for the every day Tudor peasant to go, has been almost perfectly reconstructed, albeit with more fire exits, however the ease of the every day man to attend has been cut down as seats cost varying prices, focused around the £20 mark. True there is standing for a fiver, but so often with the Globe, you must learn to book far in advance or risk being turned away. Added to this, an air of smug about the place, and it isn't difficult to find yourself feeling somewhat ostrocised by your surroundings. Despite this however, once settled in, over priced can of Fosters in hand, and awaiting the show, you can't help but feeling in awe of your surroundings and the miracle of the play infront of you. Not necessarily an easy venue to visit, but definately worth that extra effort.

Review of Ikea

Big Ikea Superstore
This Ikea has only been open for a few years. It was the store that had riot when it open offering massive opening day discounts. So I was expecting something bad. What I found was a clean and pleasant Ikea. It had a largw Cafe, Creche and a big car park. The staff were friendly and useful although you need a map to navigate the floors its that big. The downside of this place is its still a mile away from the nearest tube (Tottenham Hale) so its best to get a bus there.

Trendy Bar for Wood Green
This is a place for the trendy people and students of wood green. So it has a lively atmosphere especially on the weekend. It also has a food menu which mostly serves pizza as they have an oven at the back of the pub. The food is really nice and the drinks are reasonably priced. It also has the advantage of being across the road from Alexandra Palace Train Station so if you do go into the city you dont have to go far to do it.

Review of Sitara Indian Restaurant

Jazz and Curry Combination
This is a rather interesting place. A curry house that plays Jazz music. It was a strange feeling eating my chicken madras whilst listening to Frank Sinatra, but actually It was a good feeling. The curry was pretty nice too and not too expensive. The service was good as well but it was very cramped inside the place and maybe a little too dark as well as I could barely see what I was eating. I recommend you go just for the experience of hearing jazz music whilst eating a curry!
