Review of Hand In Hand

Nice in summer 3*

Its nice to come here and relax in a bit of sun... when it's actually shining. The staff are good and inside its just a nice old pub. Good for a Sunday arvo.

Good option 4*

Locals an travellers seemed to be in this place when I came here... really good beers, and a big selection of food at good prices. Seemed very popular. For good reason I think

Review of Bricklayers Arms

Old faithful 3*

This is a really down to earth bar that attracts a usually cool 20 something crowd. A good option on the Hoxton scene, makes for a decent night out.

Very cool 4*

I think this place used to be a bit of a biker hangout... but these days its one of Londons best known hip hang outs. Forget the fire... this place is still a picture postcard image of Londons current rock scene.

A bit better than some 3*

Theres an old bohemian feel here with plenty of interesting people about. Its small and cozy and has a bit more atmos than other pubs in the area.

Work drinks only 3*

Squeeze your way in here with the West end after work crowd and enjoy the friendly ambience. Used to be called the "bucket of blood". Interesting.

Review of Bradleys Spanish Bar

Small and Charming 4*

The decor might be a bit shabby and dimly lit.. but I actually find it quite small and charming. The alcoves and velvet seats make it quie eccentric and theres plenty of spanish influence for a good night out.

Review of McGovern Tavern

Another Irish pub 2*

The Irish settled in this area years ago and their legacy is left in the strong of run down Irish pubs along this route. This pub is no different to the others... a bit dark... and lifeless patrons.

Review of The Good Ship

Not quite there 3*

This place tries hard but I havent been there on a good night yet. They have a great big screen for sport.. but the comedy nights are lack-lustre and theres a hollow, stale vibe to the place. Maybe its just me. Worth a few tries.

Review of The Crown

Dive 2*

Never have I seen a more rag-tag bunch of party goers in my life. This place is a hive of International scum. The boys are sweaty and pervy and the girl seem to like it. You need to be well drunk to enjoy a night here. I have to say though, the staff are awesome and its great just for a laugh

Review of North London Tavern

Cool joint 4*

I like it here. Probably the first choice barin Kilburn. Its small the crowd is cool and the staff are pretty trendy. Good choice of beers and nice outdoor seating for summer. Start a night here. Unfortunately, its an early closer.

Review of The Elk In The Woods

Bit poncy 3*

A few too many snobs here for my liking... but the food was inexpensive and the area and cobbled streets around the restaurant make it pretty special. Decor cool too.

Review of The Anchor and Hope

Popular for good reason 4*

Popular for good reason. I read about this place in the paper and agreed with the good reviews. The ales come from the cask, and the stuffed duck was awesome. All the British food was tempting actually.

Review of The Fitzrovia

Italian fun 3*

I like this place. Its hidden away and usually full of locals or students. Has an old Italian charm and serves traditional Italian food. Looks standard from the outside, but worth a visit

Review of The Garrick Arms

Love it hate it 3*

Spent many a night here, resting on sticky bar tops, and rubbing against the sweaty Friday night crowd. Although this place is not very glamorous.. it always seems to have the after work crowd in there. Service is a touch on the slow, scary side... but so long as you're with a group, you should have fun.

Good pub 3*

This place is pretty good. Great Samuel Smith beer, comfortable seating and friendly service. Could be a bit brighter... but otherwise a nice place for an afternoon drink
