Review of Brantano Footware
04 May 08, 14:36
a different direction in footwear
Brantano stock a huge range of footwear for ladies, men, and kids. It's much more a 'serve yourself' affair compared to other shoe places, but that kinda suits me down to the ground, I don't need a spotty teenager to tell me whether my shoes fit or not - I know! This place can get a bit of a mess and can get really busy at weekends but it's worth popping in next time you're upgrading your footwear!

Review of TK Maxx

a HUGE selection of homeware, and some good clothing labels too...
Ladies and kids stuff downstairs, and upstairs for menswear and the biggest (and most random) selection of homeware you've probably ever seen. Some of the stuff here is dirt cheap, and some of it seems vastly overpriced - have a good old rummage and you're bound to find something you like... The homeware section is particularly useful if you want a cheap(ish) alternative to high street brands.

Review of Argos

really good service here!
I've shopped at this Argos store several times in recent months, and I have to say I've always found the staff here to be really helpful, really polite, and really friendly! At weekends things get a little hectic as you'd expect, but if you've got time, pop in during the week and you'll find that what you want is probably in stock, and the staff are in a really chatty mood. Plus they are fairly efficient in bringing out your order too which is always a good thing, and if you order something big they're more than happy to help you bring it to the car if you can't manage on your own!

Review of Kempston Library

Average small-town library
Kempston Library is the best collection of books you will find. In Kempston.
For this suburb of Bedford then Kempston Library is quite adequate for it's residents' needs but it's nothing superb...
If you're after some essential reading you'll probably find it here, but dont' expect anything slightly more obscure because they won't have it.
Just a thought, does anyone still read books?

Review of McDonald's Restaurants

Lucky dip
Here’s how it works:
1) Order and pay
2) Drive to the next window
3) Take the bag from the nice lady, smile, drive off.
4) Arrive at your destination, only to find your entire order is wrong.
This has happened to me here… on countless occasions. If you dare to complain, staff are rude, unhelpful and will quite likely slip in a laugh at your expense in between the expletives they mutter down the phone. Avoid.

Review of KFC

You can't beat a bit of chicken...
This Kempston branch of KFC is great because it's not right in central Bedford so you can get to it without getting stuck in traffic for hours, because hunger waits for no man!
The ability to have food that is finger-lickin' good is one that I have cashed in on at numerous intervals and I'm yet to have a bad experience here so will definitely be back next time hunger calls!

Review of Posh Dogs

Taking care of your dog...
The team at Posh Dogs really groom your dog to a high standard! They can clip the nails, wash the dog, cut the hair, and make your dog look and feel like a million dollars!
They also offer courses so that you can learn to take care of your own dog, and run regular competitions on Chiltern Radio offering discounted and free sessions for your dog!

Review of Toys 'R' Us
11 Apr 08, 21:28
More toys than you can imagine!
"There' millions, said Geoffrey, all under one roof..." as the advert once sang, and they weren't wrong! If you're ever stuck for a birthday/Christmas present then Toys'R'Us is always a safe bet - even for grown ups!
Obviously they've got everything a child could want, but sometimes it's the ideal place to go when looking for a present for a 'big kid' because us grown ups never really grow up, do we?! And being on the Interchange Retail Park there is ample free parking which is a bonus!
