Review of Iceland

Even Twickenham residents can't resist...
OK, I know it has the awful Kerry Katona on the advert, and I know there is a Waitrose just round the corner, but sometimes Iceland do actually do some really good value good quality frozen stuff. I wouldn't make it your supermarket of choice, but I always make an effort to pop in once in a while to grab some bargains, because even Twickenham residents can't resist bargains, surely???

Review of Woolworths

Not very good anymore...
Every town has a Woolworths, including Twickenham. They still sell the old classics such as pick'n'mix, stationary, birthday cards, CDs, and home and garden equipment, but Woolworths is fast becoming the place nobody really goes anymore. I usually find everything they sell cheaper in Tesco - and Tesco staff are a bit more clued up! That said, if you're in the middle of Twickenham, and you NEED a bag of harribo, a frying pan, a protractor, and the new James Blunt CD, and you've only time to go into one shop, then you'll find them all here.

Review of Waitrose

Good food for the people of Twickenham!
Waitrose is the supermarket that the lovely folk of Twickenham deeply deserve. There are lesser supermarkets in the area, but why would you want to be seen anywhere other than Waitrose?! As the rule of thumb goes, if you can afford to live in Twickenham, then you can afford to shop at Waitrose, and this seems to be true. It is always busy with the good and the looks-good buying up stacks of posh-looking food, and good on them I say!
"Pick up a bite to eat from Waitrose will you George, Tarquin's got polo practice at two...."

Review of Clinton Cards

There's more here than just cards you know!
This card shop has saved me numerous times from embarassing "oh, is it today?!" situations! Whatever the occasion they have the card to match, whether it be happy or sad news, birthdays to funerals there is a card to suit. The good news is that this shop has more than cards so if you feel that a keyring or a comedy mug is the perfect accompaniment to your card then your luck is in.

Review of Nationwide

Small branch of the popular building society.
This small branch of Nationwide is located on Twickenham's main shopping street, as with most of the building society's other branches in major towns.
The staff at this branch have always been helpful whenever I've been in, although it does only have a maximum of three staff serving at a time (usually it is two), so if the person in front of you wants to rearrange their life savings and discuss repayments, missed payments interest payments and downpayments you might be waiting a while, though when you do get served they usually apologise for the wait! Just what the good folk of Twickenham deserve.
