Review of Brora

Yummy yummy cashmere
Brora do the most beautiful cashmere cardigans, scarfs, gloves, jumpers, shawls etc.
Really high quality cashmere in great designs, patterns and colours.
It is really expensive, but they last for your life time and they make a really great present. I've got some wrist warmers I've had since I was a teenager that are still in great nick that I couldn't live without in the winter.
It's worth checking their site as they quite often have deals on things.

Review of Cargo HomeShop

Cheapy home owners dream
Cargo is great for things for your kitchen, bathroom and bedroom.
When I bought my flat I completely kitted my kitchen out with things from here. They have a really wide range at really good prices.
It's worth getting their discount card if you are a regular, I paid £5 and you get a card that enables you a 10% discount every time you shop - indefinitely.
Great for kitchen utensils and glass and plates.
Definitely worth a look, as it 's more unique than Ikea.

Review of Kew
01 May 08, 08:42
Good office kit
Kew is owned by the same company as Joseph, it's just it's cheaper sister!
Some of the clothing is a bit mumsy, but they have great classics for your wardrobe.
If you are looking for a nice linen shirt, or some smart casual clothing for the office that isn't too garish, smart but comfortable, I'd give Kew a look.
I think their summer stock tends to be better and it's all reasonably priced. I think they have a branch in Ken High Street too.

Review of Heals

Like a kid in a toy shop
This is one of the best British home furnishing shops you are ever likely to see.
It's on the corner of Sydney Street and the Kings Road. You could think it was habitat from the outside, but it's far more interesting.
They stock a number of good stock home furnishing products from British designers. They also have some really interesting funky furniture pieces that will bring something a little different to your home.
Be warned though, go there with an idea of what you want to buy, or you will end up walking out with a load of stuff that's really great but you probably don't need.

Review of Molly Blooms
01 May 08, 08:34
Great delivery service
Molly Blooms have been in this location for years, they always have a great selection of flowers and garden related things.
If you are a busy soul and need to send flowers to someone, I would use them over Interflora - they give a more personal touch. The cards are hand written, and they provide a good consultation service over the phone.
Got some for my friend when she was in hospital - she was really chuffed.
It's cheaper than Dansk on the Wandsworth Bridge Road, but the selection isn't as good, but still a great place to buy your flowers.

Review of Oasis Karting Project
01 May 08, 08:26
So much fun
Warning, do not go Karting with your boyfriend if you are a nifty driver and he's a sore loser......
This is a great day out, you can hire the track out for an evening with a bunch of mates and lay the gauntlet down.
You get provided with a quick saftey run through (which gets ignored the minute you're on the track) and are provided with all the gear.
It's a great evening out, and this course in particular has some hilarious corners that if timed wrong leave you in a pile of tyers with a nice dose of whiplash! Well worth it though.

Review of My Old Dutch
19 Apr 08, 11:04
Pancake Central
Really fun Dutch restaurant that serve mainly savory pancakes with chicken and vegetable fillings.
This is a good one for a quick bite before going out or going to the cinema.
Not somewhere you'd go for atmosphere or a party, but perfect for a quick bite. Good food, good prices.

Hidden little Jem
This is a great little pub not far from the river behind the one way system in Wandsworth.
They've got a great menu with a variety of things, from snacks like pita and humus, to full on Sunday Roasts.
It's really cosy in the winter because they have a fire. The decoration is quite fun, very eclectic.

Review of Duke Of Cambridge
19 Apr 08, 08:40
Yummy food, good beer garden
The Duke is in my opinion one of the best pubs in Battersea.
It's well located and easy to get to.
They do really good Gastro pub style food, with a pretty mean burger with all the trimmings or occasionally really good white fish.
They've a great front garden with heaters if you smoke, and on the whole there's a good crowd in there. You can't really go wrong.

Review of The Holy Drinker

Good Sunday Session Spot
I love this bar, the staff are really friendly and it's the perfect place to chill out with the paper and a coffee on a Sunday morning.
If you're feeling up to it, they have a great Sunday night boozing atmosphere. Can't recommend it enough. Only downside, it's a bit of an arse to get to if you don't live in Clapham.

Review of Brixton Academy
19 Apr 08, 08:17
Favourite Gig Site
Brixton is a great venue for gigs, it's easy to get too, easy to find and there are loads of good bars in the area if you want to meet friends first.
I especially like it because it's got a curved floor so if you aren't very tall and don't like being squashed up at the front you'll really like Brixton.
The bars in the venue are spread out and you never have horrendous queues.
Enjoy.

Review of The Cottage

The Lovely Ben
To be honest, I don't rate this pub that highly on it's atmosphere, brick walled beer "garden" with no view - or the actual bar.
What do I like about it? The f*ck off massive Great Dane - Ben who's owners run the pub. The size of a horse with the heart the size of a football - he's totally gorgeous and worth a visit to the pub based on a meeting with him!

Review of The Ebury

Love love love this pub
I think the food here is really amasing, they've the best crab, lobster and oysters I've ever had in London.
Ok so it isn't cheap but if you fancy a treat and can't afford Bibendum this is a good second option.
They also have a room for hire upstairs which is quite fun if you have a gang of you.

Review of The Anglesea Arms
16 Apr 08, 17:14
Good food, good times
Famous pub in South Ken, full of pink shirts and loafers, but inoffensive ones!
Does what it says on the tin, good selection of European Beers with good pub grub.
Can't go wrong really.

Saturday Sessions
Great place in Chelsea that doesn't get too packed. Very good Gastro Pub style food, great interior with really nice staff.
Britten Street, is just off Sydney Street in the heart of Chelsea. If you've had a hardcore day shopping and fancy a glass of wine and a snack, this is the place for you.

Secret Pub
Love this tiny little place near Chelsea Pentioners (they're often drinking in there - if you fancy a good yarn buy them a pint).
Not sure about the food, but lovely little joint with a great atmosphere.

Awesome Pub
Genuinely a really great pub. It's been there for years, my granddad used to drink there.
Great for birthday parties, or a cosy night with a group of mates.
Farily hard to find, hidden away but that's part of the the appeal.

Review of The Coopers Arms
16 Apr 08, 16:23
One of Chelsea's finest
The Cooper is a famous old pub, regulars have been George Best (RIP), Bruce Forsith and many more.
Lovely traditional wooden floor, bar and features, it's one that has managed to avoid the gastro pub make over most of the pubs in the area got treated too.
Grub's not bad either, and they allow dogs.

Review of Nuovi Sapori
16 Apr 08, 13:54
A right little gem
Nuovi Sapori is a great little Italian Restaurant.
Opposite the Kabab Kid, this is certainly the best in the area. It beat Strada down the road based on the fact that they frequently update their menus.
Always really fresh food, with some classic Italian recipies and lots you don't know.
Wine is not too expensive. Only thing I would say, if you are going ask not to sit under the stairs!

Review of Duke On The Green
08 Apr 08, 15:23
The Duke
Possibly the best pub in the Fulham area. Really popular with I would say 21-35 year olds.
Fantastic food, with a good selection of wines and beers. Love the pints of Peroni - only bad thing it's not too cheap.
What could be better than reading your paper on a Sunday afternoon in a pub where you dog is allowed on the sofa - oh joy!
