Review of Duke On The Green

The Duke
Possibly the best pub in the Fulham area. Really popular with I would say 21-35 year olds.
Fantastic food, with a good selection of wines and beers. Love the pints of Peroni - only bad thing it's not too cheap.
What could be better than reading your paper on a Sunday afternoon in a pub where you dog is allowed on the sofa - oh joy!

Review of Plaza Foods

I feel bad but....
Having lived in the area my entire life, I have a strange fondness for this quite frankly bizaare establishment.
I can't imagine the rent is cheap for a commercial property on this stretch of the New Kings Road, so I simply find it mind boggling that this place has been in existance for as long as it has.
What does it stock? Well good question, when you catch it on a good day, you'd be lucky to find a packet of digestives or some stange greek dip.
If you want wierd obscure food or cleaning items - Plaza is your place. After fags, newspaper and some toilet roll, forget it.
Guilty pleasure though, lovely staff, rubbish shop!
Enjoy (or just go down to Budgens down the road!)

Review of Nuovi Sapori

A right little gem
Nuovi Sapori is a great little Italian Restaurant.
Opposite the Kabab Kid, this is certainly the best in the area. It beat Strada down the road based on the fact that they frequently update their menus.
Always really fresh food, with some classic Italian recipies and lots you don't know.
Wine is not too expensive. Only thing I would say, if you are going ask not to sit under the stairs!

Review of Mao Tai
16 Apr 08, 13:57
Very expensive but really gooooood!
On this popular stretch of the Kings Road, Mao Tai offers a Thai/Chinese fushion experience.
It is really expensive, but for a special occasion it's well worth it.
They recently refirbed the bar area which is great for a cocktail before dinner - or even if you don't want dinner it's worth it for the fresh fruit cocktails.
If you don't fancy going out they have a delivery service called Ruby Foos - 5 stars!

Review of Cock & Rabbit Inn
16 Apr 08, 14:00
The Rotten Habbit
The Cock & Rabbit is to the side of the village green of the charming hamlet The Lee.
The area is also the location for Midsommer Murders so if you are after a quintessentially English village for lunch and a walk or a couple of drinks in the evening the C& R is for you.
It's got a great beer garden out the back, great for those lazy summer afternoons swigging on bitter or cider.
The food is not however the best, but the friendly staff and location make it well worth the hour drive out of London.

Review of The Coopers Arms
16 Apr 08, 16:23
One of Chelsea's finest
The Cooper is a famous old pub, regulars have been George Best (RIP), Bruce Forsith and many more.
Lovely traditional wooden floor, bar and features, it's one that has managed to avoid the gastro pub make over most of the pubs in the area got treated too.
Grub's not bad either, and they allow dogs.

Review of Chelsea Potter
16 Apr 08, 16:26
Standard pub
Although famous, I don't rate the Potter very much, it seems to be a place people go if they want to be spotted by the people strutting up and down the Kings Road.
It's not particularly cheap, nice or special in any way.
I guess the location is ok, but other than that it's a bit of a void.

Review of Oriel Brasserie

Perfect People watching spot
Bang smack on the side of Sloane Square, I've had many an enjoyable girls lunch sitting outside just watching the world go by.
In the winter the downstairs bar is nice and cosy.
Highly recommend this if you like people watching.

Review of The Phoenix

It's bloody brilliant
This photo is an old one, it's been done up really nicely now.
Good food, friendly staff, and a fun, relaxed atmosphere. Pretty good for weekends if you fancy a few bevvies with mates somewhere not too expensive that's easy to get to in a fun area.
They've tables outside for smokers and it's fairly close to Sloane Sq tube.

Review of The Trafalgar

Bit of a hole
Not my favourite pub in Chelsea given it's so close to the Phoenix, but I guess it's ok as a stop off point.
Always seems a bit dark and dindgy, but it's affordable and you can almost always get a seat.
