Review of Krispy Kreme

Delicious 4*

This small franchise supplies a wide variety of doughnuts and is a delight for anyone with a sweet tooth. Doughnuts can be bought individually or in boxes of a dozen. The shop seems to do a constant trade throughout the day however staff are very quick and you shouldn't find yourself waiting too long to be served. Doughnuts are baked throughout the day. One tip is to keep an eye on the electric sign in the doorway , when lit it means a fresh batch of doughnuts have just come out of the oven , delicious!!

Surprisingly Good Weatherspoons 4*

This public house is part of the JD Wetherspoon chain. So as would be expected there is a wide range of beers, wines and spirits available for lower than average prices plus a fairly wide range of reasonably priced pub food. It also means no music in the bar and as a result the usual lack of atmosphere. Thankfully however the Knights Templar is not just another soulless Wetherspoon's. It's located in a very attractive building and the large split level pub is grandly decorated. There is a large screen on which all major sports events are shown on. A popular location amongst city workers for an after work pint.

Big Friendly Pub in Camden 4*

This is the biggest pub ive been to in camden, and one of the best ones. Seats are limited so I expect to stand even when it doesnt look half full. Friday and Saturdays are its busiest times but theres a really good atmosphere then. Theres a downstairs part where bands play most nights from 9pm which vary from rock to metal to punk and costs about a fiver to get in. If you are in Camden go there if you can because most of the pubs in camden are too small to cope with the number of people it attracts

Opera Singing Restaurant 3*

This one of several restaurants making up this small London chain. The first thing you'll notice when entering the restaurant is how extravagantly decorated it is. A rabbit warren like restaurant littered with nooks and crannies decorated in an extravagant operatic style. The food of a French style and is very good indeed , on a par with many far more expensive restaurants with a 3 course meal costing between £30 - £40. Not just the unusual surroundings make for a memorable night , opera singers are also prowling the restaurant going from room to room and table to table belting out both well known and unfamiliar songs from a wide range of Operas. Be warned though the singers can be quite intrusive so whether you enjoy the experience may very well depend upon how easily embarrassed you are!

South African Themed Bar 3*

This was one of those places I stumbled upon whilst roaming around covent garden one night. It's basically a basement bar which is an average size. I think they are trying to be a south african themed bar because they have springboks and flags on the wall but other than night there isnt too much that makes this place stand out from the countless amount of bars in central london. Prices are quite pricey but from what I've heard, its a good place to watch the rugby so maybe go to here when south africa play in the tri nations.
