Ideal
for a night on the lash on Albert Road. The clientele are all above board, although I did see a fully grown man sobbing in there once! Nice outlook to see drunk totty swerving down the road.

They Get It
This place is ideal for a lazy beer on a Saturday. Its not to hectic, it pulls a young crowd - and they do a fine range of ciders and bitter. You'll like it - promise.

Review of Texaco

Jeeeeezuz
The most expensive petrol stations in the UK. They may as well just rip the money straight from your pocket without even asking. Ath the time of going to press Texaco are charging 134 per litre of diesel, yet sainsbury are charging 121..how can that be right?

Poncey
This place is Ok to pop in for a beer on the way to somewhere else. Full of the Southsea wannabe crowd...i.e. I wanna be rich and famous, look at these clothes...but I actually work at Lidl. Steep too.

Review of Eastney Cruising Association

Lovely Setting
The ECA is in a prime location in Eastney. On a nice summers day its awesome to sit out on the terrace, drink a few ciders and eat some cheap, but quality food. They've got boats there too.

Review of Beals

Quality
Bought my first hourse from this lot and they really know their stuff. Particularly if you're looking at Southsea/Eastney - good connections and local knowledge. Fair charges too.

Big Eaters Heaven
Good quality scoff, but the portions are bloody huge. A meal for 1 could feed an entire Battalion. Also, ask for a large bag of chips - it takes 3 fully grown men to carry it.

Fintastic
My folks have been shopping here for years and they bloody love it. Massive stock of fish and bits to go in the tank. Staff are very helpful.

Shoppers Delight
Some people come from the dark North to shop here its that good. Good selection of shops, although there seems to be a lot of stuff you wouldn't really want to buy. Parking is insanely expensive too.

Review of The Tangier

Stay Clear
Moons ago this pub was Ok. You could take your Nan there for a Pale Ale. Now I wouldn't take a regiment of Para's there. Grim, poor beer and totally chavvy.

Changing?
This place is always on the change. As I type this, the bloke is probably outside changing the name to another such boozer. Good fun, good clientele - hotter than the sun in summer.

Turkish Delight
Seriously good food here. They do a massice range fo scoff, but if they'v got the slow baked Lamb Shank on - go for it. Its more tender than .....(use your imagination). Good atmos too.

Review of Currys

Good Job
At the end of the days a Curry's is a Curry's. But at Xmas I ordered something and they bungled the order, they sorted it and upgraded my purchase - which is spot on. Good customer service.

Review of The King's Theatre
26 May 08, 18:39
Small But Sound
The Kings has a quirky lovliness about it. Its sweaty, your knees are up around your jaw - but its old and has a sense of class. i bet you a fiver you like it.

Review of The Jolly Taxpayer
26 May 08, 18:34
You'll be shocked..
Imagine walking through a door like Mr Ben. One minute, its 2008 and you're happy, next minute its 1977 - the walls are carpeted, the floors are carpeted, even sections of the ceiling are carpeted. Its a local boozer - don't stand still for too long, you know what will happen to you.

Wear them out!
The perfect indoor play place, loads to wear the kids out for an hour or two and great coffee and cakes for the parents! Well priced, clean and friendly and the kids love it.

Review of Pyramids Centre
15 May 08, 18:38
Death
Thats what you could get if you use the changing rooms at The Pyramids. On first inspection, it looks like someone has rolled a hand grenade into the place. But no, it hasn't been decorated/cleaned since Thatcher opened it. Shame, kids love the venue and its got loads of potential. Make you're your jabs are up to date before visiting.

Good honest Indian scoff. My old man has been eating here since time began. They're consistently good and the delivery is always on time. Service is spot on.

Review of Ferry Boat Inn

Treat
It does what it says on the tin. Its right next to the Ferry at Hayling. The food is good, although a little steep. By they do some good home made pies. Ale is good too.

Review of Mucky Pups

Laundromutt
My dog loves it here. The girls really look after my hund, he comes out of there looking like a million quid and has lost his wet dog stench. Good prices too, 10-15 quid to get him looking buff. If he could use a keyboard, he'd be reviewing it himself (thats what he told me in confidence).

Review of Scandals Cellar Bar
11 May 08, 19:58
Wierd but wunderbar
Scandals is wierd. The ceiling is at 5 foot and a fag butt, the walls ae sweaty, the beer watered down, and the clients slightly bog eyed. But, on a sat night if you want some where to go to jump around - some good indie rock, no pretentious ponces that you'll find in GunWharf, this my friend is the place for thee.

Review of Still & West
11 May 08, 19:50
Location, Locatio
This was the first ever pub in the world...possibly. But wierd to think that old sailors we're drinking there just after they sliced someones throat in Spain circa. 1329 AD. Good pub, excellent loactiom , excellent fish and chips, bit pricey. But worth it for the brilliant views,

Review of The Wine Vaults
27 Apr 08, 18:54
Different
Considering some of the poncey places that are on Albert Road, the Vaults is a nice contrast. You get a mix of people in there from students, the rugby club, people going to the Kings Theatre over the road, or people just out to get loaded. Good service and atmosphere.

Greek Turk Scoff
Excellent food - its all cooked fresh in front of you. The menu has loads of selection and there's a ncie Mediterranean vibe to the place. Lots of good beers and wines on offer, a good night out. You can eat well here for £20 a head.

Review of Little Johnny Russell's

LJR
A proper Sat night pub. Good DJ's and live music, absolutley rammed on a Sat with a good atmos. Bouncers can be a bit dumb, but once you're in its good value though until 2 in the morning.

Review of Formula One Autocentres

Don't Bother
I had my tracking sorted by these guys on my Ford Focus. I had to take the car back three times - even after the whole ordeal it wasn't sorted properley and as a result shagged up my tyres. Kwik Fit is a much better option.

Review of Lemon Sole
27 Apr 08, 18:19
Superb but Pricey
If you like a top selection of fresh fish, this place is awesome. You actually pick the piece of fish you want, then they whip it off and prepare it. Good wine, good service, but a tad steep - 4 people will eat for about £30 a head. Good value though.

Review of Baffins Inn
22 Apr 08, 18:37
Chavtastic
I've been drinking in The Baffins since the start of time and my old man drank there before that. It used to be a solid local pub, now sadly its a hang out for youth. If you wear a hoodie and like to rock up on your push along scooter, you'll love it.

Review of Monsoon Thali House
22 Apr 08, 18:35
Top Nosh
Scoff at the Monsoon is superb. On Albert Rd there are 10000 curry houses, but these guys knock up the food fresh. You can tell, because it actually tasts of curry. They also do a fine takeout service and they're normally there with 30 mins.

Review of Kens Kebab House & Speedy Pizza
22 Apr 08, 18:29
Not for the faint hearted.
I've been eating at Kens over the past 10 years and the food is OK. 1 word of warning, don't bother with a delivery pizza. You'd be better off buying a boxed 1, chucking the contents in the bin and eating the box. It'll be tastier and probably warmer.

Review of Victoria Swimming Centre

Swimming
This place was built in the 60's and hasn't been cleaned since. The pool is good and instructors are very charasmatic. But it is a dirty hole.
