Review of Heebie Jeebies

Yes! 5*

Popular with students and indie-types which gives it a far more laid back atmosphere than a lot of other clubs in town. It has three different floors and an amazing amount of bars dotted around the place.

Quality music, great range of drinks and a sweaty dance floor what more could you ask for. It is also pretty reasonable, when I went on a Friday it was £5 to get in which is good compared to other, more pricy places in Liverpool.

It is trend, has a pretty hip dress code and attracts some quite interesting people, but this all adds to the great atmosphere. You get the feeling that everyone in Heebie Jeebie is here for the same reason, to have a laugh and enjoy the music which is a great feeling. The staff are friendly, helpful and are pretty quick, keeping bar queue’s to a minimum.

If you are contemplating a night out in Liverpool and appreciate your music then Heebie Jeebie is the place to go - without a doubt, top night out!

Review of The Zanzibar Club

Rumble in the Jungle 4*

Another great place to catch live music on Seel Street and the place to see

Liverpool's finest before they make it big, The Coral and Zutons both were regulars here, most nights host a range of local talent. On a good night.

I can't think of any venue that can compete with the atmosphere, I try and go at least once a fortnight to check out someone new, though when a name band is placing its good to get there early. The music does vary quite dramatically so it is always advisable to check the line up before you head in. They offer dj nights as well as live music and though the place is not huge it does have an ample dance floor.

Dinks are your usual fare and reasonably priced, staff were pretty friendly and efficient. Overall a great night out whether you want to dance to great tunes of appreciate some great live acts – it is my destination of choice for something different in the city.
