Review of Thorntons

Fantastic
Thornton’s is absolutely great for presses’! Not forgetting that it is soooooo yummy to. Viennese Truffles and Lemon Meringues are the best.
You can personalise your gifts to by having message written on which is a nice touch.
The absolute best bit about Thornton’s though has to be it range of Diabetic Chocolates which is growing. Allot of shops are recognising this market but Thornton’s has always been way ahead of the game here.

Review of Bodycare

Holiday Must!
This place gets a big Thumbs up from me for Price especially when Holiday time is approaching.
I always make a beeline straight for Bodycare with my massive massive list so that I can get everything for my holiday - From ear cleaners to shower gel, all new and shiny and ready to go in my suitcase.
Its just amazing the difference in price and I only ever buy Aussie 3 min miracle as a treat in there as it is cheaper.

Review of The Canal Museum
29 Apr 08, 15:03
Found memories
I have very fond childhood memories of the Canal Museum. Having been back there recently it has not changed in many many years but you can’t really change history! However last time I visited they were adding a cafe and childs interactive area so can’t wait to see how they turn out.
Its not all Rosie and Jim either (even though you do see them often) Kids get a chance to interact with the Museum and learn about how essential it was to communities and they offer boat trips up the canal which are great and you get to see how the workers used to have to foot it along the tunnels! All very educational and good fun!
The Museum is in such a great area so picturesque and a visit to the museum and the canal in general is very calming on a nice warm day.
I will always have a soft spot for the museum and the old Shire horse model that has been there for donkey's years!

Review of Marks & Spencer

Fantastic Food!
I absolutely love Marks and Spencer’s for food, working in town it is so easy to get to and there range for lunch and treats is great. It makes a nice healthy change to some of the other options for lunch in town.
It is quite reasonably priced as well.
I am not really a Marks and Spencer’s clothes shopper but it has looked very nice in there since they had a makeover. The underwear is really nice in there to. They do a range of Minimiser bras which is great if you want to hide your assets! Dont worry they also cater if you want to show them off!

Review of Woburn Safari Park

Love it!
I absolutely love this Zoo! I went again this weekend its a bit pricey so its not the kind of place you can visit all the time to catch up with your favourite animals but it is so nice when you do get to go!
I really love the fact you have to drive through it really reminds you that it is the animals park and you are the visitor, soooooo much better than seeing them behind bars.
When we went last time I got some amazing photos that I just love and you just couldn't get with out the drive through element, AMAZING!
Its great for those people who have the 'new cars' and are a bit scared of what excitable monkeys will do as you can skip past if you are not brave enough, however it is well worth it if you go in!
There is also loads to do outside of the car such as the Australia Walkabout and walk through the Lema's, so great getting so close.
Big thumbs up one of my favourite places ever!

Review of Sosta Cafe
28 Apr 08, 18:20
Great Cheesecake!
When this place first opened in Northampton I was amongst a fair few that laughed and said 'Sosta' that sounds familiar but wont be as good... How wrong can you be go there once and you will love it.
This is a fantastic place to go for a hot chocolate to recharge the batteries after a long day at work.
The staff are really great as well always smiling and very chilled they never want to turf you out and it is open until around 8pm so you quite often forget the time when you are in there.
The chicken Pesto Panini and the Cheesecake are my favourites. I always stare at the amazing looking chocolate cake but haven’t folded yet but it is only a matter of time!

Review of Primark
28 Apr 08, 18:13
Primark?
I am still much undecided what I make of the Primark phenomena! Whilst it is clearly very cheap I sometimes wonder if you are getting value with it. I have bought a few tops that quickly shrink and loose shape when washed.
It’s great for costume jewellery though and the queue always seems to disperse very quickly which is good.
The cleanliness of the store is hit and miss though as some days you feel you are walking in to a dusty jumble sale. This can be very off putting!
You do occasionally find a real bargain though so it is worth popping in just to have a browse!

Review of Lamport Swan

Great for Special Meals
I found this place by accident and I am very glad that I did. We were trying to find somewhere to take a friend for a special birthday and thought we would pop in quickly to have a look over the menu.
The food was a bit pricey but not to excessive so we booked it. The staff were so helpful and when I said I was booking for a birthday and was it ok to bring a cake they said ‘we can make you one’ and they certainly did! It was humungous and was so beautiful Milk chocolate with white choc and raspberries all over and sparklers which really made an impact when we surprised her with it. Very reasonably on price to and it was nice and a bit different from giving her one bought from the supermarket.
Really nice food to but the staff deserve a 5 star all to themselves.

Review of The Vineyard

Great little Italian!
This place is one of my favourites in town.
It is very cosy in here which does usually mean that booking is essential as you really won’t get a place. Also due to its location (near Derngate) allot of people book in here prior to going to a show so get in early to ensure a slot.
The food is a little pricey but it is great if you are planning a really special meal that you don’t mind splashing out on. However the food is so good and the staff are sooooooooo lovely I really didn't mind paying the extra.

Review of Casablanca Restaurant Bar
28 Apr 08, 17:56
Casablance, I dont give a dam this place is great!
I absolutely love this restaurant I am a big fan of Tapas and this is largely due to a friend of mine recommending this restaurant to me.
It has such a cosy atmosphere in the restaurant itself and the staff are always very friendly and attentive.
They are great for evenings out with friends and have even done a fab job in catering for a large group of us (around 15).
There is loads of choice and if you haven’t had tapas before it is a great place to sample it.
Trully lovely night out with great food!
