Review of Snowhite

Ok launderette
My flatmate and I used this launderette for a year when we found ourselves in the unfortunate position of having rented a flat with no washing machine. We used the service wash option which was always very good. The usual shrinkage from tumble drying but no other disasters. No loss of items. Wash always completed on time etc

Review of Crazy Larrys
18 May 07, 08:56
Crazy Indeed.
Larry's is very hit and miss. Like all the clubs in this area, you must be lashed before you consider entering...I've had some legendary nights here, but bring your own crowd... Can also be terribly dull. Dance floor is strangely small.

Review of Oriel Brasserie
17 May 07, 12:44
Lunch stop
Oriel is a Sloane Square classic. Recently there is more competition for shopping lunches with the opening of the Sloane Square hotel but Oriel is still going strong. It's a civilized, stress free location. A good place to take your mother to lunch before braving Peter Jones. Which about sums it up really.

Review of Burger King

Flaming Whopper
My Favourite Burger King. I prefer BK to McDonalds but let's not get into that debate. My fav thing on a Saturday is to hop across the road to my friends at Burger King and pick up a double cheeseburger with bacon, fries and super large diet coke, bring it home and eat it reading the Sunday Times Style Section in the kitchen. Bliss. This is a jolly good branch of BK. Never any ques, fresh food, fast service. Food of the Gods. Very close to South Kensington tube.

Review of Christian Louboutin
16 May 07, 14:39
Well Heeled. In debtors prison
Louboutin is of course a legend. The London boutique, convieniently positioned in secluded spot behind Harvey Nicks is small but rammed full of the most perfect shoes you'll ever see. The problem with the boutique is that, at the moment, they cant take your money fast enough... they seem terribly understaffed and there are at least a dozen women at anyone time throwing themselves, feet first, credit card in hand, towards the sales assistant... which can be frustrating if you have to wait 40 mins to sink several hundred pounds on a pair of pumps. It's all worth it though when you catch a sight of yourself with your flashy, red lined feet. Divine.

Review of Blacks Private Club
16 May 07, 08:58
A real gentlemans club
My boyfriend is a member at Blacks so I always feel a bit like a tourist there. It's a strange but endearing place. Tumble down and somewhat dirty, its like stepping back into Dickensian London almost. It has a certain goth , glamour to it which is brilliant in winter, with candles and fireplaces everywhere. The townhouse layout adds to the effect. Blacks has real character and I love the fact that mobile phones are really discouraged (Turn Them Off). The food is really good also. Odd but fascinating characters frequent the place, and the later it gets in Soho the odder they become-

Review of V V Rouleaux

Top 5
One of my top 5 shops in the metropolis. I would like to live here, I could just bed down on some of the reams of ribbon in the evening and sleep very happily in the stock room. There is one fundamental problem with this shop and that is that everything is so beautiful that you can't visit without spending £60. You then leave the store with the smallest of see-through bags and spend the afternoon wondering quite how it's possible to spend megabucks on small slips of coloured silk-. Hmmmm. I once enquired about a roll of multicoloured watermarked satin ribbon that caught my eye only to discover it was 16th century and £280 a metre! Eeeek! Still, if you know what you want and have some self control, it is possible not to go bonkers in here. I love the quirky pieces they have near the till (ribbon that reads "I'm a natural blonde" , brilliant!) and they have everything you need to change a drab outfit into a vision worthy of a modern Marie Antoinette. Repeat after me , "Ribbon Makes Everything Better-."Â

Review of Tampopo
13 May 07, 14:54
Noodletastic
Tampopo if perfect for an early supper if you are heading to the Fulham Rd cinema afterwards. It gets terribly busy at the weekends, but the service is fast and the food very tasty. They also do a takeout service which is excellent if you fancy something a bit more interesting than another chinese. Lovely white paper boxes, like takeout in the states (all takeaways should be packaged like this, makes them seem a lot healthier somehow?)

Review of PJs Bar and Grill
12 May 07, 09:51
Yummy Yum Yum
PJ's is a perfect spot for Sunday Lunch. I love the decor of the place, it's always busy but I've always found the service excellent. Some obnoixious clientelle, but try to ignore them and you'll have a lovely time. I think the best seats are the ones around the gallery on the first floor - you can look down on the bar and people watch. The tables near the bar are quite cramped in comparison.

Review of Leon

I Love Leon
My fav lunch place in Knightsbridge (for those of us who can't afford Zuma)... great fast food style healthy stuff, but with beautiful packaging, wine and beer (yey) and loads of seating even at busy lunchtimes. There are Leons dotted all around London, seek them out!
