A La Italiano!

Ok today I cant agree with Elaine with regards to the "slow" service at Piada.. My order was done within 5mins if that! Perhaps it just depends what time you go?!

I tried out Piada for the first time today (as im trying new things each week!) and I was VERY impressed. The girl taking my order explained everything to me and the best thing is that she had a lovely smile on her face the whole time :-) It's very Italian...even their sodas, drinks , etc are imported from Italy. I had the number 10: Bacon, Zuchini and Mozarella and it was yum yum yum!! Its like a pancake style wrap with different fillings of your choosing. Best of all its very filling!

You can have your meal either eat in or take away. Small and friendly service. I will definately go there again...after i try some new places. Would highly recommend it!

Overpriced!

Ok I have been here numerous times getting keys cut for my company... Even though the guys are friendly thats about it to be honest!

It is highly overpriced.. Put it this way to get one key cut it will set you back £7!!!! And you know what? The last time I went they cut the key wrong which meant I had to go back and have it re cut?! Yes they still maybe good at what they do (at times) and heel your shoes and everything but my recommendation is to simply go to a local locksmith who can do the same work for cheaper!

Review of Farringdon Underground Station

It is AS EXPECTED! Hence 3 stars

I pay a lot for my travel - London aint cheap!! And for that I expect trains to be on time, no overcrowding and generally no delays to my service..well as you would expect this is never the case. And Farringdon train station is no exception. Yes there are many lines which go through this station which is always a bonus as you have more choices. However, why o why are there so many vendors outside this station? They literally shove things in your face in every direction you go!!! ARGH..... "No I am not interested... I do this everyday and work here so leave me alone". This seriously annoys me as it makes me those 3 minutes late to work as I try to dodge those offering newspapers, streetcar and other advertising material!

Review of Beduin

Beduin is just great

I came here with a friend of mine after I finished work and to be honest i was simply looking for somewhere with good atmosphere and where you can talk as I had a lot of catching up to do with my mate! Generally places to be very noisy so this would be ideal.

This place has a moroccan feel to it and quite vintage at the same time. The sofas are comfy and the overall atmosphere is just awesome. We ordered a few drinks and a mixture platter. It was truly amazing! The food was delicious... and the service unbelievably great.. But i guess this was because it was a Monday night and only 5 people at this bar (and that's including my friend and me!).. despite that we got free strawberries! and service with a smile which is alway a bonus!

Highly recommend it :-)

Review of Slaughtered Lamb

No lamb for me please!

Ok I came here with my work colleagues for pub grub and a few drinks. Even though the food was really nice (typical English meal - sausages and mash) and the drinks were good... I am not too sure about the service. I tend to be quite picky about this specially when it is quite a big group of us and this will surely mean more money for the lamb's pockets no? Despite the waitress having a smile on her face , I am not sure how genuine this must have been! Our table was dirty and I did ask for it to be cleaned with no success :-( But apart from that everything was fine!!

Worth it for the food!

Review of The Slug And Lettuce

Definately a SLUG

Well i have always been impressed by this chain of pubs/bars. The platters are always great and the drinks are superb..good service..basically top notch place! However today i was deeply disappointed!My work colleagues and myself went for lunch (special event) and ofcourse you are given 1 hour so we ordered our food very quickly and guess what? we were there 2 hours through no fault of our own (no drinks!!). The waitress was the slowest slug i have ever encountered in my life.She was friendly but just not "with it". Unfortunately it had to be my food she messed with! She managed to get it wrong three times...i asked for a ceaser chicken burger with ceasar dressing and peri peri chicken (dont know what weird combination that was as it was not even on the menu - so one of my colleagues had that as he had ordered peri peri so he didnt mind! secondly, I got some chicken burger thing which was NOT ceaser ...and finally i received a ceaser salad!they finally got it right fourth time round but by this time all my colleagues had finished their food and we all had to go back....argh....the pressure was on! To top things off she could not put the final bill through the till properly which once again delayed us! Very sluggish indeed :-(

Ok well we (my friend and boyfriend) initially went to On Anon just for a few drinks. Now when you get there at 7ish its not too bad. And that is because its more like a pub/bar atmosphere. Good music, nice place, yummy drinks and good food. But once it hits 10pm... it all changes. This place is truly a "meat market". Its disgusting! Its a perverted singles bar/club! Don't get me wrong its massive which means that you can ultimately get away from the weirdos/creeps and there is different music to suit any taste but apart from that its rubbish unless you are looking for something else. Don't know why on earth we ended up leaving at 3am...too many vinos perhaps?

Review of Conran Estate Agents

CON - ran - doesnt even deserve a star!!

Now DO NOT EVER go into these Estate Agents. Definitely the worst ones I have ever encountered in my life. Do not be fooled, a young woman by the name of Katie was very friendly and bubbly and extremely willing to help in the beginning. However, things got bad later on. Once we actually made our viewing appointments for a few local properties (as first time buyers) it was abruptly cancelled on us. We accepted their excuse which was that Miss Katy was off "sick"�. However we later found out this to be a lie as we saw her with another client parking up her company mini cooper! We were not happy to say the least. She had clearly gone with the "bigger fish"� as we were indeed first time buyers with a slight smaller budget to spend. To our disgust we never wished to return, let alone re arrange for further viewings with this so called ethical company!

Im Loyal to my Topper

Now I have been coming here for about 10 years - and yes it is VERY cheap (£20 cut and blow dry) However I have been going there for many years and because of my loyalty I have been charged the same amount ever since. So do not be disappointed if this does not happen or if you are quoted a different price..it will still be very cheap nevertheless! However the cheap prices comes with another price, if you are not driving then the area is a bit dangerous and be prepared to run to catch the bus cause the street has a high crime rate. Apart from that, top place to go to -Turkish owner who is still learning English but is very good at his cuts and blow drys... you will come out looking a million dollars.
