Review of Marks & Spencer

Great food 4*

I love M and S food. Whether it's grabbing some sushi or a sandwich for lunch or I need to cook a nice dinner, I always chose the M & S in Bournemouth.

They've got a great deal on at the moment too - a meal for 2 for a tenner, including a bottle of wine!!

Review of Debenhams

What you'd expect... 3*

from a department store.

Lots of clothes, make up and gifts for people. I buy my bra's from there and find the staff are really helpful with sizing and don't mind popping out of the fitting rooms to get you a different one as many times as you like.

Review of Left Bank Village

Cocktails and dreams 4*

A great place for a cocktail with the girls whilst overlooking the river. Quite expensive though, and make sure you''ve got your ID if you look under 25 coz they will ask.

They have those outside heathers on the balcony too so you can sit outside in the winter too.

There's a customer car park too which is good.

Review of Asda Stores

Cheap and cheerful 3*

Food is cheap which is good...and I love the reduced priced hot chickens at the end of the day.

I love George the clothing the range too.

But it's always very busy so you have to wait ages at the till!

Review of Tesco Stores

All you could possibly need! 4*

I love this Tesco. It has everything you could want, from washing machines, to clothes, dvd players to spagetti hoops!

And it's not cramped into a small space either.

There's always somewhere to park and the do it yourself till is easy to use, and never has a particularly big queue.

Review of W H Smith

Not bad 3*

Good selection of magazines and books. Often good cheap deals on them too.

Poor customer service though...a number of times I've been waiting at the till and there's no member of staff there to take my money.

Review of Argos

30 May 08, 11:18

Rude delivery men 2*

I've recently moved house and needed a variety of things from Argos...going into the store the staff were friendly and helpful and my items came quickly to the til.

However, I also ordered a wardrobe which had to be delivered the following week.

And it wasn't a pleasant experience. The delivery men were so rude on the phone when they couldn't find my flat, and when they eventually arrived, they said 'have you ordered anything else via argos?' I said 'No' and the man said 'good coz we're not coming back here.' I won't be using them to get anything delivered ever again!!!

Review of Accessorize

A whole new outfit 4*

Accessorize in Bournemouth is brilliant! Packed full with loads of hair accessories, earrings, necklaces and even flip flops. Basically spend a tenner in here and you'll give last weekend's going out outfit a whole new look.

The only downside is when it gets busy at the weekend you have to fight to get near the jewellery!

Review of The Slug and Lettuce

24 May 08, 08:37

Good atmosphere 3*

I like the Slug because it has a mix of people of all ages in there. There's not just massive groups of 'school girls' or 118 men screaming.

The drinks are pretty expensive though...but I like being able to sit outside too - and it doesn't have to be in the smoking section.

Review of Urban Outfitters

15 May 08, 10:53

Urban Extortion 2*

Urban Outfitters has an excellent range of retro and vintage clothing and accessories, but as other reviewers have touched upon, items come at a price.

The whole essence of buying vintage/retro clothing is to wear something that nobody else has. With Urban Outfitters mass produced t-shirt lines, don't be surprised to see someone else wearing you £40 Kellogg's Corn Flakes or Disney designs, making you wish you'd splashed out £3 on something more unique in a charity shop.

Over-rated and over-priced.
