Review of The Cockpit

Great credible indie club 4*

This is the best place for live music in Leeds. Built into the railway arches and with a real industrial feel, bare brickwork and the original arched ceilings in a serious of interconnected caverns with stages this is a great place for gigs. Expect lots of hot sweaty moshing! The weekly Brighton Beach club night is a Leeds institution. Drinks are cheap but it can be slow to get served at the bar.

Review of Salvos Restaurant

Good Food But Too Small 3*

The food here is excellent so top marks to the team however they cram way too many tables in so you feel a bit claustrophobic. It can also be quite warm inside. However the number of customers is testament to the popularity of this restaurant and the quality of the cuisine. Recommended dishes: gnocci, four seasons pizza and the amazing calzone.

Review of Sala Thai Restaurant

Best Thai Restaurant In The UK! 5*

This is not just a restaurant - it's an experience. Set back from the road in a big old house that looks like a stately home, this palacial restarant serves the best thai food I've tasted in the UK. With genuine thai staff and chefs it's a real taste of Thailand. I recommend the thai yellow curry but be warned with authenticity comes a lot of fire - it's seriously spicy!

Review of Bretts Fish Restaurant

Great little chippy 4*

So easy to run in and grab some tasty fish and chips as you're out in Headingley. It's down a little path near the Nat West on North Lane. Very small inside so you often have to queue through the door, but the food never disappoints and the staff are really friendly. It also feels like it has a lot of history too.

Review of Olive Tree Greek Restaurant

20 Apr 08, 18:22

Great Greek 3*

If you have ever been to Greece this restaurant will make you feel like you're back on holiday again. They have gone to a lot of trouble to recreate that authentic greek feel with chefs, staff and recipes that are as you would get over there. The olives are amazingly fresh and succulent and the main courses are hard to beat. It's mostly organic as well so you feel healthy.

Review of Bibis Restaurants

Perfect Italian 5*

You can always smell the amazing italian food from BiBi's as you walk through the tunnel past the side of the railway station and it's so tempting to be drawn into this place. Inside, it's gorgeous - really nice decor, helpful staff and of course the food is AMAZING! Just fantastic. Pizzas to die for, and the best carbonara pasta I've ever had.

Review of Tiger Tiger

Bar / Restaurant / Great fun! 4*

Tiger Tiger in The Light in Leeds is a really nice place to come for either something to eat or a few drinks. I wouldnt recommend it for getting drunk because it's not that kind of place but for a few sophisticated cocktails it's perfect. Food is impressive with a very varied menu - you'll really be spoilt for choice.

Review of Fish & Chip Shop

20 Apr 08, 18:08

Great Chippy 4*

This is a really good chip shop - clean, nice and really good fish which is the main thing, definitely. You won't be disappointed. I particularly recommend the cod which is tender and tasty. The battered sausage is also great and everything has the right amount of batter so it's not too greasy.

Review of The Trophy Shop

Trophytastic 4*

It's hard to know where to find trophies so this shop is great. I needed a trophy for a work competition and they ordered one specially and organised the engraving too. They were most helpful and gave really good advice.

Review of The Perfume SHop

20 Apr 08, 17:53

Good for cheap perfume 4*

This is a really good place to buy perfume - I always shop here when I am buying it as a present because they discount virtually everything and are really helpful at helping you choose what to get. I described the age and trendiness of my girlfriend and they recommended a perfume that she absolutely loved.
