Review of The Body Shop

Great for everybody 3*

This is a great branch of the Body Shop - slightly larger than normal and in the white rose centre so it's handy if you're doing some shopping in the centre. The usual range from toiletries to perfumes and all ethical and eco friendly so it's guilt free. Recommended.

Review of The First Tee Discount Golf Shop

Top Tee 4*

Great range of golfing equipment and accessories and easy to find. This is a great place to come whether you're a serious golfer or a keen beginner and the great thing is their range goes right up to the best quality clubs that you would expect from a specialist shop. Also good for buying gifts for a golf loving relative!

Review of Gangsters Take Away Food Shops

Brilliant takeaway 5*

From the tom & jerry design on the outside to the fresh, clean interior you know this pizza shop's a bit different. And it is - pizza hut quality at normal takeaway prices and they also do burgers and kebabs. Well worth checking out if you live in the Headingley area or are passing by.

Review of 1 The Spy Shop

20 Apr 08, 17:37

I Spy With My Little Eye 4*

This shop is in the grey area of moral acceptability - is it ok to spy on people? I think it's mostly people spying on their partners who shop here. But they have some scarily sneaky stuff. Like bugs, listening devices, a little connector that keeps a record of all the keystrokes made on a keyboard, even little concealed cameras. It could be very dodgy if it fell into the wrong hands. Despite the questionable ethics of selling this stuff the store is great for what it is and the staff are very helpful at advising you what you need.

Review of Leeds United Football Club Shop

Love Leeds Love This Place 4*

If you're a United fan this is an essential stop when you go to a match. Everything you need in one place - shirts, scarves, programmes, tickets - whatever you need. Great selection, although it could be open more during the week.

Review of The Pen Shop

Pens 3*

If you need a pen, look no further! Actually, they have a really good choice here and you can find a pen that you'll want to hang on to and not lose. From the simplest biro to a lovely fountin pen they've got everything you need, nicely laid out and with helpful staff plus ink cartridges and refills.

Review of The Condom Shop

20 Apr 08, 17:22

Rubberly 4*

This is an amazingly fun shop that totally takes the embarassment out of shopping for condoms. There's an amazing range to choose from plus loads of other fun stuff like games, underwear etc. And because it's just in the middle of the top floor of the corn exchange you dont feel weird about strolling in and having a browse round. Friendly and fun staff and a nice place.

Review of Harvey Nichols

"If you need to ask the price you can't afford it" 3*

I love going here just to remind myself that money cant buy happiness! The price tags on everything in this shop are like a great big practical joke but amazingly people pay hundreds of pounds for horrible handbags with someone's name written all over them in the tackiest way or t shirts that become ten times as expensive when you sew a designer label in the back! It's insane really, but people must buy stuff in here or they wouldnt stay in business! I bought a jar of tomato sauce from the food section upstairs just so I could get a carrier bag and pose!

The staff are rude and surly which is how they are trained, I think.

Review of Victoria Quarter

20 Apr 08, 17:09

The Knightsbridge Of Leeds 5*

This is the place to find all the designer shops in Leeds with Harvey Nichols at one end and a sumptuous stained glass ceiling above some of the most famous names in designer fashion it's without doubt the best place for designer goods outside London in the UK. With a price tag to match, as you'd expect. Enjoy!

Review of The Corn Exchange

20 Apr 08, 17:07

Great selection of shops 5*

If you're coming on a shopping trip to Leeds this is one place you shouldnt miss... the Corn Exchange is a big round building with two levels of shops around the inside and a cafe on the ground floor. Brilliant for small independent traders, crafty shops, fashion, new age and the famous Condom Shop!! This is the centre of bohemian Leeds and one of the best things about the city.
