Review of Sock Shop

Socks. Surprisingly.
The name of the shop says it all really! If you're passing through Leeds train station and in need of some fresh socks, this would be the logical place to go. From simple to 'designer' socks, you can find what you want easily here. Seems like a strange place for them to be, because it's a bit off the beaten track for shoppers but certainly handy for rail travellers.

Paradise for the United Faithful
If you're keeping the faith and following United this will definitely be on your shopping list. Handily situated in the heart of the city in the Leeds Shopping Plaza, this place has everything you could ever want from replica kits to scarves, badges and even wallets! You could pretty much kit your whole life out in the style of your fave team here!

Not Just For The Girlies
As a guy, it may not be the coolest place to shop but they do some really good toiletries in here. I particularly like the Mostly Men range which includes a great aftershave called Mostly Musk. They also do some really good bubblebath. This branch is no different from any other really, the store's not too busy and staff are helpful.

Famous alleyway
Really old, really famour pub in Leeds which is gorgeous in the summer when you can sit outside drinking beer in the sunshine in their little alleyway beer garden! It's nice cos you get old men, townies and students all sitting together, chilling out.

Extraordinary
This is the most amazing place - enormous, cavernous superclub in the style of somewhere like Manumission. When it first opened the laser show was cutting edge and the carpets and chrome were very cool but now it's a little bit tatty and sad but sometimes you can walk through to Jumpin Jaks and get some variety. Definitely worth experiencing but pick your night carefully - studenty midweek, chavvier at the weekend.

Get Lost!
This is the most confusing club I have ever been in! It used to be the T&C but they made it into a club and now it's hard to find the dancefloor you have just left when you go to the toilets (which are even more weird because the gents and ladies are sort of linked !?! Anyway they have some good nights here - Brutus Gold was here for a while and he's a legend. Not sure if he still does Love Train but worth checking it out.

Gatecrasher
This is Gatecrasher's club in Leeds and when it opened it was hailed as the best thing to happen in the city for years - still impressive even now, from the plasmas on the way in to the stunningly lavish decor and quality DJs this is one seriously impressive destination for your night out.

Great Place To Meet
We always meet here when we're going out in Leeds. Its between St Johns and Merrion Centre and they do great deals on cocktails in the happy hour. Plenty of places to sit and have a chat and generally clean, tidy and nice!

Stick
So called because it's opposite the casino, this is a nice smart modern pub with high standards and cheap drinks. It's a little bit out of the way for a city centre night out but it's handy for a quick drink after you've been to morrisons!

Let Me Take You Down
It's an urban myth in Leeds that the Beatles wrote their song after visiting this place. It could be true. But what I do know is they do brilliant food and it's a lovely little cosy place to drink just down the hill from the parkinson steps at the uni as you head into town. Perfect for a little candlelit valentines day meal.
