It's All Greek To Me
If you're Greek you will feel right at home here. I'm not Greek, but I am a geek so that's close. And I loved the food here, especially the vegetable casserole which was amazing and well spiced and they also do the most amazing dessert trolley.

This is a great place to get some fine leather goods at a really remarkable price - they do a great job of selling properly cured goods - unlike my jacket I got on the market a few years ago which started to decompose after a few months and really smelt bad. These ones are pukka though.

This is a nice coffee shop where they make sure all the tables are kept clean by wiping them obsessively - even when you're sitting there! And the detergent on the cloths stinks. So that kind of spoilt the "rich aroma of the coffee beans" for me.

Despite the worrying name, the chances of a fatality are minimal in this hairdressers because they seem to take all reasonable precautions to ensure your safety. This is the place to come if you want a haircut that's relaxing - they play some soothing panpipe music in the salon while you're getting trimmed and their stylists have gentle calming voices. The only sound is the gentle snipping of the scissors. It really is tranquil and relaxing here.

This is apparently the oldest pub in England and it's like a warren of caves where someone like Bilbo Baggins would feel right at home. When you go up the stairs to the top floor there's a big table and loads of medieval chairs - a real experience and apparently it's also haunted! Great place to come for a drink though.

I'm always suspicious of places that do kebabs and pizzas becuase I dont believe you can be a Jack of All Trades without being a Master Of None. And with this place, I'm afraid my fears were well founded. It's not very tasty. On the plus side they do a doner meat pizza, which is a strange fusion of turkish and italian cuisine!!

There's nothing impressive about this Dominos, the food was as expected, delivered on time and nice and hot due to their special heat insulated pizza boxes which ensure that the food always arrives hot. You know you'll get a good pizza at Dominoes and this branch is no exception. The only problem is the price and to be honest for the same price you can get a takeaway from Pizza Hut or pretty much any pizza restarant so this is what normally puts me off. However they deliver fast and they have special insulated boxes so it's always piping hot.

HMV is somewhere I rarely go since the age of internet downloading but I would be sad to see them close. They have a great selection of music and it's somehow easier to get inspired when you're in a shop flicking through CDs and listening to music than staring at a computer screen. They also have loads of DVD box sets and now Blu Ray discs as well. Knowledgable and friendly staff and a great choice.

I grew out of role playing games around the same time I discovered girls, but for those of us who are more Peter Pan than Peter Andre, this will be their favourite shop. You can't fault them for knowing their market and making sure they stock the essentials, from the latest RPGs to classics like Talisman (my favourite) and of course Warhammer, Judge Dredd, D&D and the like. I went past and they were hosting a wargames day with loads of kids battling on a giant board with little lead figures. Nice to see them passing their anoraks on to the next generation ;)

Morrisons took over Safeways and now all the stores are Morrisons. Which is a shame because I preferred it when it was Safeways. This busy little store is in the middle of Leeds pedestrianised area and hard to get to by car, unless you want to pay to park, so I'm not really sure who actually shops here. It's OK inside, but nothing special.

Busy Busy Busy
Always a nightmare to get round with narrow aisles and way too many people whatever time it is, and long queues at the tills, this is the busiest supermarket I've ever seen, and that's not a compliment. Seriously, go into Headinley and you'll have a much better experience. Oh and the carpark underneath charge you unless you spend over a tenner which is stupid.

This is a bar in Cliffsend which I dont go to much because it's all about the sport - they have all the big football matches on the big screen and it's very testosterone fuelled. Great if you like that sort of thing, less great if you just want a quiet night out.

If you've always wanted your own model of Big Ben you will love this place. T Shirts with Union Jacks on, phone box money boxes, pens, badges, ash trays. Any tourist tat you want can be found here. High on choice, low on quality. But a good place to find postcards if you need to send one.

Clucking Marvellous
This is like a normal KFC but without the annoyingly long queues. It's not called express for nothing. You will get the usual standard of kentucky fried chicken but much faster than you would normally expect. Can't fault it! The Colonel would be proud.

Not one of the best maccy D's
This is a slightly disappointing branch of the global fast food giant. For a start, they seem reluctant to clear the trays from the tables or mop the mud off the floor and although I cant blame the restaurant for this, there was a child crying throughout my burger and most of the fries. I wasn't a happy eater.

Chinese Mallet!
Always makes me think of the Wide Awake Club when I hear of a Chinese called Timmy but this is actually a great place to eat with a really good menu and good service, it's definitely smewehere I would consider returning to.

Not a Bad Choice
If you're looking for take away food, dont be put off by the name. Although to be fair you will probably be too hammered to even know what the name is because the bright lights will draw you inside to choose from a wide selection of tasty foodstuffs. Well worth a stagger.

Very fast Food
I was amazed at the speed of service in this place it was like lightning - the food came out really quickly and I was able to eat it at leisure. Very pleased with the service although the food wasn't particularly well cooked.

There are plenty of Chinese take aways in broadstairs so why should you choose this one? Well there is no reason to choose this one because there are other places which are a lot better. The only good thing about it is the name is the same as an old 80's computer game.

Average Chinese
There's nothing special about this Chinese. It's pretty much what you'd expect. Nothing major to complain about just the usual selection of food cooked at a reasonable standard. The sweet and sour chicken was a bit stodgy and prawn balls lacked any crispiness but the crackers were ok and service friendly and prompt.
