It's impossible to be unhappy at the Happy House - the food's delicious and the prices will definitely make you smile cos they are really very cheap. Waiters are nice and smiley too. Very happy house.

The staff here were amazing, they were so friendly and welcoming and made sure we were happy throughout the meal, our waitress, Becky, was superb and we left her a nice big tip. More than just the usual "do you want any sides with that" and "watch out, the pan's hot", she went the extra mile and really made us smile. Top service. Good pizza too!

Hit The Hut

You'll feel like Jabba The Hutt when you leave this place (Star Wars reference) because there is sooo much pizza you will be bloated and fat but very happy. Best strategy for buffet success is to cut the crusts off then you can eat more. Also it takes the brain 20 minutes to register that you're full up so if you eat fast you can get more down before you have to stop but be ready for a lie down after because it makes you very tired.

This branch of Pizza Express is above average although not quite as nice as the one in the middle of Manchester. The layout is fresh and open and it seems quite posh when you first come in. Comprehensive, well stocked computer game store which caters for all the major platforms and offers prices which are akin to those of their main competitor Gamestation which is situated close by, enabling you to easily compare prices between the two, but dont expect them to be at all different! Masses of choice, all the top games, knowledgable staff and a good selection of second hand games. And just across the mall from their main competitors Game, there's really not a lot in it between these two computer game giants. I tend to go to Game rather than Gamestation but the prices are usually the same in either place. Not that I'd accuse anyone of price fixing. Ever.

Grand Theft Encouraged

This is one place where you know the people who serve you probably know more than you do about the products. They gave me a really odd look when I bought Lost The Computer Game and when I brought it back the next day because it was awful they completely agreed and gave me a full refund! Which was nice of them. Although they could have warned me first.

Selection of games is great and covers all major platforms and they also buy back and sell second hand games which makes them much more affordable.

If Tesco were an Octopus with tentacles of varying lengths and thicknesses this would be it's fattest tendril. It's a massive store, crammed to the brim with value, and what I like most is that they encourage you to be eco-friendly with Green clubcard points whenever you reuse a carrier bag. Hats off to the Tesco.

Olive Heaven

The best thing about this well stocked and reasonably sized store is that they turn a blind eye if you fill a pot in the olive bar and walk round the store eating them as you shop. I do pay for them (but you might spot me sneakily topping up the pot before heading to the til)! Anyway, I'm sure Jamie Oliver would do the same. If he got paid what I do.

They are opening Europe's largest Sainsburys in late 2008 opposite The Hub, so expect this store to close at that point and an even better Sainsburys to open. Who knows they might even have a bigger olive bar.

This is a real convenience store with the emphasis on convenient. Just round the corner from my flat, which is convenient for me, anyway, this place does most of the essentials at a higher price than a normal tesco's but is perfect for an emergency pasta mission or when you desperately need some coke (happens to me!). I could quite easily spend a fortune in this shop and still not buy anything I actually need. Also, it's a mecca for lazy Christmas shoppers with no imagination who like to think they are original. You're not. Everyone knows where you got that neon sign/lava lamp/plasma globe/enormous wine glass/bar butler/electric hampster from. And they will hope to god you kept the receipt.

Hello Hello! I was ironically listening to U2 on my iPod while I went up on this thing and it was pretty scary if I'm honest, because the pods are really clear glass so you feel like you're floating. Very smooth, very slow, and very expensive this is one big wheel you'll only go on once and they put lots of people in each car so it's not very private either.

There is a public gallery in parliament where you can watch debates actually happen. Apparently there are also about a dozen bars inside which explains a lot. Whether you are lucky to venture inside or just admiring the amazing archetecture this is one place that should be on every London tourist's agenda. Makes you proud.

Not A Kebab Place

This is a really good indian takeaway, although the name is slightly misleading because it makes you think it's a donner kebab place. This couldnt be further from the truth. I recommend the chicken tikka masala which is truly excellent.

Refurbished!

This place has just undergone something of a transformation with a new menu and new entertainment in the evenings it's definitely taking a new look at the Foresters in Stony Stratford. You might be pleasantly surprised.

Review of Superdish Take Away Food Shops

Super Duper

This place is called Super Dish for a reason. The food is Superb and it obviously can be eaten from a dish if you like, although the polystyrene tray provided is more than adequate. Good choice of takeaway food, seems reasonably clean - I didnt see any rats, and the staff are great too. Super.

Finger Lickin Good

Southern Fried Chicken is the order of the day at this UK take away inspired by KFC. It's simple, cheap take away food which will fill a hole after a night out on the town but dont expect it to be courdon bleu. More courdon brown.

Golden Quality

Showering you with golden quality is this excellent chinese. Not sure what happened to the Old Golden Palace but this place has been going for years, doing good honest chinese food at reasonable prices. Seems to be family run and the staff are friendly and helpful all the time. Great stuff.

Thai Delights

For sit down or take away Thai food this place is hard to beat in Thanet at least. A great selection on the menu and all cooked to perfection you can have a thai banquet in your own dining room. Check out the yellow curry, my favourite and dont forget the sticky rice. Oriental Flavours at their most edible.

Politically Incorrect And Sexist??

I dont think you're allowed to call Chinese individuals "China men" anymore but in a sense, this is testament to the length of time this place has been open. Good, honest chinese food for the hungry with a tasty quality that's hard to beat locally. Recommended.

Ace!

Ace is the word for this cheap and reliable taxi company. No problems with these guys although you need to book ahead if you want a taxi on a Saturday or Friday night because I'm sure they just take the phone off the hook when they are fully booked or quote you a 2 hour wait!

King Of Pubs?

This is a pub that should be crowned because it's really rather good. Nice, old fashioned and full of friendly welcoming faces, you won't be disappointed. Good selection of real ales and cask beers on tap and nice decor at reasonable prices. Top notch.

Fancy a round?

This is the old golfers joke that they spent a while on the 19th hole - golf courses generally only have 18 holes so that's why this pub is called the 19th - because after the 18th hole, the next logical destination is to go the pub and drink some beer. Nothing will disappoint you about this pub - it's a good honest local.

Saucy Tartars

This is nothing to do with the stuff you have with your scampi, but there is a definite nautical connection with this place. Think shipping history and maybe a bit Cap'n Pugwash in a pub that makes you think you've travelled back to the maritime past of Broadstairs. Nice, friendly but slightly local so you need to settle in before you come here or you might feel a bit unwelcome.

Very Traditional

This is a realy old fashioned pub and no mistake. You get exactly what you expect at the Albert. You can almost smell the salty fisher men coming through the door and the old oak walls and beams give it a real character all of its own. Recommended.

Party Place

Thorley's has been synonymous with bringing mediterranean style partying to thanet! Frank Thorley is the man behind this place where you can expect DJs getting the crowd going and a queue at the door every Friday and Saturday night. Inside it's nice and cheap and they used to have Tim Stewart from invicta there as a resident DJ in the early 90's.

Tucked away behind the hustle and bustle of the main road in Broadstairs round the corner is The Rose, which is small and basic inside with a good pool table and friendly staff but it's nothing special and doesnt have the sea views of somewhere like the Dickens.

Great Place To Start

If you're having a bit of a pub crawl down the hill from the station into Broadstairs this is the perfect starting point. A nice but slightly small local pub where the beer is brilliant, cheap and plentiful and they dont seem to mind people coming in in high spirits.

Bad News For Fat Fighters

This is a very handy takeaway if you're going to Tokyo Project cos it's just on the corner and it's amazing. The best thing about it is the deal where it's the same price for any pizza, any size which makes you logically order the biggest pizza they do with everything on it. This is a large part of the reason I'm now on a diet. Great quality, quite pricey (unless you avail yourself of the offers) but well above the average pizza takeaway standard.

Handy for the Odeon

This is a great Pizza Hut for movie fans. Next door to the Odeon multiplex at Sandbrook Park in Rochdale, just at the top of A627M, they do a deal where your receipt gets you a discount at the cinema. What more excuse do you need to stuff yourself on deep pan delights?

Better than average takeaway

While you could say dont judge a pizza by the box, in this case it's not a bad move. The branding of this local pizza takeaway is so professional I thought it was part of a national chain. But it's not. However the quality of the product is far superior to what you expect from a local pizza takeaway - you wont be disappointed.

one of the best pizza huts

I once sat in this pizza hut for about 3 hours drinking refillable tangos and having a really nice chat with an old friend. It's lovely, clean and tidy and the staff are really nice too. Service is excellent and the quality of the food is superb. Recommnded especially if you're going to the cinema at Vue which is just across the carpark.
