Garden Of Pleasure 
This is a really nice chinese takeaway - really excellent quality food at a fair (if slightly above average) price. Service is very quick and professional and they take enormous pride in the quality of their food - they will remember you next time you come in and ask you how your meal was last time. Now that's what I call good service.

Not a Bad Choice 
If you're looking for take away food, dont be put off by the name. Although to be fair you will probably be too hammered to even know what the name is because the bright lights will draw you inside to choose from a wide selection of tasty foodstuffs. Well worth a stagger.

Super Duper 
This place is called Super Dish for a reason. The food is Superb and it obviously can be eaten from a dish if you like, although the polystyrene tray provided is more than adequate. Good choice of takeaway food, seems reasonably clean - I didnt see any rats, and the staff are great too. Super.

Very fast Food
I was amazed at the speed of service in this place it was like lightning - the food came out really quickly and I was able to eat it at leisure. Very pleased with the service although the food wasn't particularly well cooked.

There are plenty of Chinese take aways in broadstairs so why should you choose this one? Well there is no reason to choose this one because there are other places which are a lot better. The only good thing about it is the name is the same as an old 80's computer game.

Average Chinese
There's nothing special about this Chinese. It's pretty much what you'd expect. Nothing major to complain about just the usual selection of food cooked at a reasonable standard. The sweet and sour chicken was a bit stodgy and prawn balls lacked any crispiness but the crackers were ok and service friendly and prompt.

Southern Fried Chicken is the order of the day at this UK take away inspired by KFC. It's simple, cheap take away food which will fill a hole after a night out on the town but dont expect it to be courdon bleu. More courdon brown.

Golden Quality
Showering you with golden quality is this excellent chinese. Not sure what happened to the Old Golden Palace but this place has been going for years, doing good honest chinese food at reasonable prices. Seems to be family run and the staff are friendly and helpful all the time. Great stuff.

Thai Delights
For sit down or take away Thai food this place is hard to beat in Thanet at least. A great selection on the menu and all cooked to perfection you can have a thai banquet in your own dining room. Check out the yellow curry, my favourite and dont forget the sticky rice. Oriental Flavours at their most edible.

Brilliant For Pizzas
They have been going for at least 20 years selling fantastic charcoal pizzas in a canadian style and also potato wedges. Best takeaway pizzas in Broadstairs although they are slightly more expensive than most pizza takeaways its well worth it for a unique experience.

If you're not concerned about your health this is a great place to get a greasy kebab after a night out. It's hard to say how good their food is because I have never eaten it when sober. In fact It's the last thing I would eat if I was sober. But for the happy carefree party animal in you this is a fine idea.

Politically Incorrect And Sexist??
I dont think you're allowed to call Chinese individuals "China men" anymore but in a sense, this is testament to the length of time this place has been open. Good, honest chinese food for the hungry with a tasty quality that's hard to beat locally. Recommended.

Not Good 
This is a taxi company to avoid. Over priced, un friendly and un likely to arrive either on time or at all in my experience because they sent the taxi to the wrong town because there was a road with a similar name. I certainly wouldnt recommend this taxi firm. Sorry!

This is the place where I fell in love with books. For a while. It wore off in the end. But it's a massive well stocked library where nowadays they also have internet access, CDs and DVDs to borrow and a great selection of reference books. Libraries have a place in the digital age. And that place is Broadstairs.

Lovely Old Fashioned Cinema
This is a gorgeous traditional little cinema and it's great it's still in business because I always thought it would close down!! It's no multiplex, just a couple of screens showing films that were on general release a few weeks earlier, and the prices are very affordable. Lovely for feeling like you've stepped back in time to a simpler and slightly less sanitised age.

If the taxi companies of Thanet were arranged by quality rather than alphabetically this one would come near the end of the list. They're slow, unreliable and a little bit too expensive. Plus their drivers seem to get annoyed when you dont leave them a tip. My tip would be to improve their service!

Pretty Good
The handy thing about this cab company is you can just stroll into their office in the middle of town and ask for a taxi and usually you dont have to wait too long, but it's perfect if your mobile's run out of credit and it's raining cos you can just wait inside til your can comes along to take you home. Your chariot awaits!

Ace is the word for this cheap and reliable taxi company. No problems with these guys although you need to book ahead if you want a taxi on a Saturday or Friday night because I'm sure they just take the phone off the hook when they are fully booked or quote you a 2 hour wait!

Miles of Smiles At A Price Thats Nice
Smiley Cars, run by the Smilie family, are a family business which provides the cheapest and happiest taxi service on planet thanet! You'll be assured a friendly and prompt response and they can be relied on in an emergency. I worked for them when I was 14 as a taxi controller and was paid £1.55 an hour. How times have changed. Now I get more than double that.

This is a pub that should be crowned because it's really rather good. Nice, old fashioned and full of friendly welcoming faces, you won't be disappointed. Good selection of real ales and cask beers on tap and nice decor at reasonable prices. Top notch.

Fancy a round?
This is the old golfers joke that they spent a while on the 19th hole - golf courses generally only have 18 holes so that's why this pub is called the 19th - because after the 18th hole, the next logical destination is to go the pub and drink some beer. Nothing will disappoint you about this pub - it's a good honest local.

Dolphintastic
Unlike whales, Dolphins are actually fish. Same with this pub - there's no twist in the tale. It's just a nice local pub. Nothing to prove, friendly and welcoming, cheap beer, nice selection, clean and tidy with nice decor and nice punters. Since the smoking ban it's been a lot nicer inside and you can actually see the other side of the bar.

Saucy Tartars
This is nothing to do with the stuff you have with your scampi, but there is a definite nautical connection with this place. Think shipping history and maybe a bit Cap'n Pugwash in a pub that makes you think you've travelled back to the maritime past of Broadstairs. Nice, friendly but slightly local so you need to settle in before you come here or you might feel a bit unwelcome.

Very Traditional
This is a realy old fashioned pub and no mistake. You get exactly what you expect at the Albert. You can almost smell the salty fisher men coming through the door and the old oak walls and beams give it a real character all of its own. Recommended.

Party Place
Thorley's has been synonymous with bringing mediterranean style partying to thanet! Frank Thorley is the man behind this place where you can expect DJs getting the crowd going and a queue at the door every Friday and Saturday night. Inside it's nice and cheap and they used to have Tim Stewart from invicta there as a resident DJ in the early 90's.

Tucked away behind the hustle and bustle of the main road in Broadstairs round the corner is The Rose, which is small and basic inside with a good pool table and friendly staff but it's nothing special and doesnt have the sea views of somewhere like the Dickens.

Bombers is a pub with a difference. Well not a massive one. It's pretty nasty with sticky floors and cheap beer and seems to attract underage drinkers due to its less than strict door policy. One to avoid if you're an adult.

If you're having a bit of a pub crawl down the hill from the station into Broadstairs this is the perfect starting point. A nice but slightly small local pub where the beer is brilliant, cheap and plentiful and they dont seem to mind people coming in in high spirits.

Clifftop Delight
If you're searching for the perfect picturesque pub on the top of the cliffs looking out over the spectacular waves of the English Cannel you cant go far wrong with the Digby. This is a great place to come for lunch and has a lively night life with friendly staff and great beer.
