Review of Shell Service Station

Outdoor and indoor public baths
Park Road swimming pool has one large indoor pool and one large outdoor pool. The outdoor pool is very popular with families and young people in the summer; it's a great spot for sunbathing and messing around in the water.

Review of ONeills
20 May 07, 17:43
Irish bar
O'Neills is quite a dressing down sort of bar. It serves food and shows sport on big TVs. At the weekend it gets very busy and people dance a lot. Very mainstream and not really my cup of tea.

Review of Revolution Bar

Swanky bar
Revolution is a dark and swanky bar that is popular for after work nights out. There is good dancey music and a buzzy atmoshpere. I recommend trying the chilli vodka.

Review of Hamleys Of London
18 May 07, 09:24
Fantastic toys
Quite simply the best shop in the world. Hamleys is a toy shop, and so technically aimed at kids, but I defy any adult to go there and not have a great time. Hamleys sells fantastic toys for all age ranges and all types. Simply the best toy shop around!

Review of Selfridges

Great department store
Selfridges is a fantastic department store, and this one on Oxford Street is it's flagship store. It sells pretty much anything you need , but everything is top end, and so expensive. The food court is amazing; it offers everything from the Veuve Cliquot bar to Krispy Kreme doughnuts. Some of the clothes are good, but mostly out of my price range. There is a great range of jewellery, make up and perfume.

Review of Primark
15 May 07, 19:49
Dirt cheap clothes
Primark is possibly my favourite clothes shop. Clothes aren't very well made, and do have a tendency to fall apart-BUT, they are just so cheap!! Primark recreates all of the latest fashions at rock bottom prices , it's not usual to buy a dress or pair of trousers for £8. Who cares if they fall apart a few months later, you can still afford to buy it again, only in the latest fashion!

Review of Le Sacre Coeur
15 May 07, 17:52
Fantastic French Food
Sacre Coeur is a small, intimate French restaurant just of Angel's Upper Street. It serves up delicious, rich French food, having a separate lunch and dinner menu. The french onion soup is a must have, and the steak-frites is delicious. Washed down with a caraffe of very good value french wine, it is possibly the ideal meal. The atmosphere is quite romantic, but definitely relaxed. One of my favourite restaurants.

Review of Phoenicia
15 May 07, 14:10
Good Price Deli
Phoenicia is a big deli in Kentish Town that recently got much bigger. It sells a wide range of near eastern and Mediterranean food and has articularly impressive selection of olive oil they sell, some bottles going for around £40. And I thought only wine could cost that much! If you are in the area, and fancy a some meze type food to snack on this is a great place to start.

Review of One Aldwych
12 May 07, 16:10
Great restaurant, bar and hotel
One Aldwych is a bar, restaurant and hotel right in the heart of London. The lobby bar is very smart, as is the restaurant. The food is expensive but delicious. It's worth booking a while in advance. The decor of the building is very different; modern but not minimal like so many other bar/restaurants.

Review of Patisserie Bliss
12 May 07, 10:57
Coffee and patisserie in Angel
Patisserie Bliss is a lovely little cafe and patisserie. The food is lovely; very rich and very French. Patisserie Bliss is somewhat of a haven for a quiet cappucino among the bustling Angel. Prices are reasonable and the service friendly.
