Review of River Island Clothing Co
01 May 07, 14:21
High street clothes shop
River Island is a shop that sells men's and women's clothes and shoes. The clothes are all very fashionable, and definitely mainstream. Prices are quite high for the clothes sold, but buying a few items here won't break the bank.

Review of Sausage and Mash Cafe
03 May 07, 10:13
Sausage and Mash
Quite simply the best sausage and mash you will ever eat. S&M's interior is American diner style, with quirky details. The menu comprises of every conceivable type of sausage, a few types of mash, and a few types of gravy. This mix and match style of ordering ensures you get exactly what you want. My personal favourite is the toad in the hole. The coffee is also great. S&M gets very busy at the weekend, so call ahead for a table. The service is great and the food reasonably priced. Without fail my friends and I visit S&M following every heavy night out, and it's the best hangover cure I've come across!

Review of Size?
03 May 07, 15:09
Fashion trainers
Size sells mostly trainers. It is different to usual trainer shops as most of the trainers don't seem to be designed for doing sport in, rather they are fashion trainers. Size also does a good range in trendy sports clothes, including vintage style Adidas.

Review of Sainsburys
05 May 07, 21:05
Mid-range supermarket
Sainsbury's is a large supermarket that also sells TVs, CDs and some gifts. It's prices are mid-range, somewhere between Tesco and Waitrose. The own brand products are good, and the instore bakery makes delicious fresh bread.

Review of Paula Pryke Flowers
06 May 07, 21:25
Stylish flower shop
Paula Pryke has made a name for herself across London as an excellent florist. The flowers you find in this shop are very different to what you find in a usual florists; the flowers are exotic and the helpful assistants are happy to create a bouquet to your taste. At Paula Pryke flowers meet art.

Review of Preposterous Presents
08 May 07, 15:17
Fancy dress and joke presents
Preposterous Presents is ideal for joke gifts and accessories. The range of little tricks (like soap that makes your hands black) is great, and there are also loads of games and fancy dress items, like masks and fairy costumes. The amouunt of rude presents is enough to keep you laughing for hours, and the birthday cards are hilarious.

Review of OQO
10 May 07, 18:45
Excellent cocktails
OQO is a relatively recent addition to Angel's numerous bars, and stands out from the crowd due to it's excellent cocktails. The range is extensive, and the friendly waiters are always on hand to help with the all-important decision of which cocktail to choose. Even better, they are happy to create any cocktail that you ask for, if their menu does not include your favourite. OQO also serves Chinese Tapas (a posh way of describing spring rolls and chicken skewers) which is tasty but not cheap. You'll love OQO if you've got a taste for exciting cocktails and fancy a treat, but not if you're watching the pennies and don't appreciate fresh ginger and pomegranite in your beverages.

Review of Patisserie Bliss
12 May 07, 10:57
Coffee and patisserie in Angel
Patisserie Bliss is a lovely little cafe and patisserie. The food is lovely; very rich and very French. Patisserie Bliss is somewhat of a haven for a quiet cappucino among the bustling Angel. Prices are reasonable and the service friendly.

Review of One Aldwych
12 May 07, 16:10
Great restaurant, bar and hotel
One Aldwych is a bar, restaurant and hotel right in the heart of London. The lobby bar is very smart, as is the restaurant. The food is expensive but delicious. It's worth booking a while in advance. The decor of the building is very different; modern but not minimal like so many other bar/restaurants.

Review of Phoenicia
15 May 07, 14:10
Good Price Deli
Phoenicia is a big deli in Kentish Town that recently got much bigger. It sells a wide range of near eastern and Mediterranean food and has articularly impressive selection of olive oil they sell, some bottles going for around £40. And I thought only wine could cost that much! If you are in the area, and fancy a some meze type food to snack on this is a great place to start.
