This is a great art/craft shop. They are so friendly and helpful, particularly if you're starting out or not brilliant at craft/art. With some things they'll even show you how to do it before you buy. They give guide leaders a 10% discount which is brilliant - more places should do that... like TopShop for example!?!

It's in the running for worst Debenhams in the UK 
This Debenhams might be in the running for worst Debenhams in the UK it is SO bad. Before I moved to Brighton I thought all Debenhams were this bad! It is chaotic inside, spread over lots of different levels and doesn't have lots of the new trendy stuff avaliable in other stores.

This paperchase is REALLY small and doesn't have a very good selection. It's a shame 'cos I'm a big fan of paperchase and with all it's students and tourists Canterbury deserves it's stationary needs to be better served.

Great little Italian 
This is a great little Italian restaurant just on the river in Canterbury. The building is really lovely, really oldie worldie. The menu is the usual Italian foder - which some good specials - and prices are reasonable.

One of my favourite Mexican restaurants
This is an excellent Mexican restaurant near the river in Canterbury with a really fun atmosphere. The fajitas are excellent - but why not try something a bit more unusual it's all good. The only down side is it has two sittings, I know why restaurants do it but it is annoying if you want to make a night of it.

Fantastic set menu 
This is Chinese food on a whole different level to your usual Chinese restaurant at the end of your road. It isn't cheap, but it's worth spending a little bit extra for the incredible food. Go for the set menu with a duck course. Just make sure you don't eat for around a week before hand so you can eat it all!
