Review of Sankey's Soap

30 May 08, 12:18

Good but not as good as it was 3*

Sankey's Soap is a Manchester clubbing institution, housed within a former Soap factory it overcame a massive refurbishment in 2006, some would say for the better.. others would say it took the soul out of the soap. Still worth a visit though if in Manchester.

Review of Troff

29 May 08, 10:35

cool and original 4*

Situated within the uber cool Northern quarter area of Manchester Troff is set on three floors, don't be fooled by it's size as it has a very intimate feel about it. Every night of the week sees Troff open it's doors to various genres of music ranging from folk to electronica. The only down side is the price for a pint as it's quite expensive. All in all - well worth a try.

Review of Topshop

Second best topshop in the country! 4*

This is the second best branch of topshop in the country, number 1 being the flagship store in Oxford street. Since the bomb the Arndale Centre has undergone an amazing transformation. This store is totally AMAZING! Huge, spread over lots of different floors with an excellent selection. Plus they have loads of staff so the queues never get too long. Be warned, you can spend a fortune in here.

Review of Joshua Brooks

20 Apr 08, 16:12

Student hangout 3*

This is a popular bar with students, especially those at what was UMIST and is now part of the University of Manchester. It's just a short walk from Oxford Road, right near the canal. Upstairs there is a big bar with big screen tvs, so it's popular for watching sport. They have lots of cheap drinks offers. They also have club nights in the basement sometimes.

Review of Tribeca and Bed

20 Apr 08, 16:06

Describes itself as a bisexual bar! 3*

Tribeca is a really funky Manhattan loft style bar just on the edge of Manchester’s Gay Village. It is a straight friendly gay bar - describes itself as bisexual. It has a big bar serving cocktails and bottled beers with sofas and booths. Also, downstairs is bed which stands for Beverage, Entertainment and Dining, Where you can eat or just lounge about on beds!? This bit can be hired out for private functions.
