Royal day out at the horses 
Oh yah don't you know! A jolly fine day out at Epsom can be had by all at The Derby on the first Saturday in June. Get dressed up, ask the Queen for a tip and then spend your winnings on a glass of champers. Super! Don't bet on runner number 1 - he never wins!

Great location Caversham bar 
Island Bar is accessed from Caversham bridge and I recommend that you order the raspberry mojito from the cocktail list. Stylish decor and and great location for a sunny day.

Reopened as Pizza Express in 2007
This place has reopened as Pizza Express which we all know is the best pizza chain. I recommend the Florentina pizza which is spinach and an egg.

Now called The Ivory Lounge
Buzzing bar in The Oracle. Full of twebny and thirty somethings. Really nice, comtemporary decor. Cocktail and bar food menu available. Good place to go for drinks on a date.

Traditional tapas
This place looks a bit grotty from the outside and you can't see in through the nets but please don't be put off as inside the food and service are great. The sandwich board outside says to book and you should as it gets busy with groups and families.

Traditional curry house
Traditional curry house which is close to town and you can go after the pub. Named after the big knife that the ghurkas carry. Nice selection of pickles and good service.

Curry
Great place. Does take away too. Loads of room, it even has a stream with a little bridge over it inside which you have to cross to get to your table. Thursday night is buffet night.

Suitable for a formal office lunch 
Formal dining in an attractive location. French food and pricey! We went in the evening and it was dead. I think it would be better for a business lunch. I prefer Carluccios or (if you can afford it) Cerise which are both 50 m away.

This is CLOSED! 
This closed in 2006 I think. It is out of the way so didn't get the footfall. Had a great night there with bongos once.

It's a pub with a restaurant upstairs
Pop in here for a drink after work and then when you get hungry it's just a few steps to upstairs and Italian food. Of course this means I can't quite remember what the food is like but it was good value.
