Review of Solo Pasta
30 May 08, 11:33
Only if you're hungry!
The food here is to die for - some of the best pasta I've had in a long time. A great place to go to for a romantic meal, as the atmosphere is lovely. I've eaten here a few times and never had a bad meal - the food is all fresh and cooked to order. Also, being close to the town centre it's a great location too.

Review of Rajdutt Tandoori

Excellent
Despite being a little scared of Hailsham, this place is well worth a visit. Possibly the best Indian restaurant I've been to in a while, the service here is excellent and their attention is what makes this place extra good. The food is all really fresh and portions are large. Also, the prices are extremely reasonable. As a little extra after your meal they bring you a complimentary tray of sweets which are gorgeous.

Review of Marks & Spencer

A little shabby.....
Not the most modern branch of M&S it could do with a bit of a refurb. There is an average sized food section here but it gets extremely busy over the weekends. The clothing section is a little shambolic, it's the first M&S I've visited where they play music from a tiny stereo plugged in on the floor! There's 2 floors, and they've added a cafe upstairs. Always a bit odd to be shopping for bra's whilst smelling shepherds pie!

Review of The Bulldog

YMCA!
I swear I saw the Village people in here last night! The place is full of men with handlebar moustaches and vests. Not a place I'd usually frequent, I was surprised to have a really good night here. Not one to visit on your own, you need to be in a big group to have fun here. It's wall to wall men, very small and cramped so a little sweaty. Good place to go if you're trollied and drinks are AMAZINGLY cheap - 3 double vodkas for £6!!

Review of Legends

Hilarious!
I had my first experience of this 'legendary' bar last night - one not to be missed if you want to camp it up for the night. This place is great if there's a big crowd. There is always a bit of entertainment - last night was a drag queen, who was ok but not the best. The layout is nice, with plenty of seating and a large bar so getting served is not a problem. There's also a good outside area, so it would be nice during the day.

Review of Eastbourne Pier
29 May 08, 12:41
A close 2nd...
Looks wise, Eastbourne pier is impressive. It's well kept, with beautiful gardens (Award winning) either side. The paintwork on the pier is all kept fresh and clean, making it look one of the better piers I've visited. There's plenty on the pier but it doesn't quite match up with Brighton's. There is a great arcade to keep kids amused and plenty of places to snack. Also, the club at the end is a pretty large venue.

Review of Fusciardi Ice Cream Parlour
29 May 08, 12:38
A true classic
Fusciardi's has a huge place in my childhood memories. A real destination place, you cannot visit Eastbourne without trying an ice cream from here. About a ten minute walk from the seafront, it's a perfect location to enjoy some refreshement 'mid stroll' It has a real old fashioned feel to it - I don't expect the decor has changed much over the alst 50 years but that adds to it's charm. The selection of ice cream is huge - plus they do a good selection of cakes/biscuits etc. A great place to visit with the family.

Review of New Look

Small but alright
This particular branch is pretty jammed with clothing. It's quite small, so try and stay away in busy periods. Also, there's no air conditioning whatsoever, so with the fitting rooms at the back it can get a little 'odourous' on a hot day! There's a good choice of clothes here though and you can normally snap up a bargain or two.

Review of Cromwells Madhouse
29 May 08, 12:29
Below expectations....even for a Madhouse!
This shop is awful. There are clothes crammed EVERYWHERE, with the majority ending up on the floor. If you want cheap, cheap clothing then this is your place but it really is cheap. The layout is poor, with clothes on rail right up to the ceiling. The staff are not particularly helpful either.

Review of Gatwick Airport
29 May 08, 12:22
My favourite place!
I really like Gatwick, there are plenty of trains and to drive is only half an hour away (from Brighton) The layout is spacious and clear - so it's easy to book yourself in without too much hassle. There is a really good chocie of shops, so it's a great place to hang about and nab yourself a last minute bargain or three!
