Review of Harpers Book Shop

Don't get lost in there!
A rambly old bookshop that is crammed full of second hand books, you can easily while away a whole afternoon here. You won't find the latest bestsellers here but you'll always get a real find - really random selection but the owner is extremely knowledgable - he's probably read every single book in there!

Small but perfectly formed...
This branch has everything you need for a trip away - a good selection of books if you're planning on a long train journey and plenty of choice in papers and mags too. It's a small shop but has everything you need - including cigarettes, which is very handy to know!

A little haven...
I love this branch, it's always really clean and calm in here. Smack bang in the centre, you can escape from the hustle and bustle of Saturday shopping and while away a few hours in peace. Despite not being particularly large, there is plenty of choice and the staff here really know their stuff. Always happy to offer help and advice. A good branch, great for gifts.

Review of Borders Books

Bordering on brilliant
I love this branch of Borders. It is simply massive, with 2 floors to lose yourself in. They have a huge selection of books and the staff are happy to help with recommendations or tips. There is a small coffee shop at the back. The queueing system is a little bizarre, with a tiered system that can leave you waiting a while. This is a shop to browse in, if you're nipping out to buy a paper don't shop here!
